By reason of some unnecessary analysis, or a part thereof, her brows, along with the corners of her lips, quirked in unison. More fully did she become as she breathed in the smell of silence. For hours she had wandered in a kind of subtle passiveness, not unlike that that made time pass on hot summer daysâon the clumsy time left in between noon and evening. âA little?â A jocular laugh parted her lips, slender fingers dipping into her pockets. She looked upon the otherâs glare with apathy. âItâs sort of inevitable if youâre wandering around in a place like this.â A scathing breeze of informality kissed her cheeks. This girlâshe embodied all that was all too familiar.
Friendship and effort had known their hour of violence but were now at end. She stood, ostensibly, on a threshold to some enigma forever cusped in secrecy. âWell, for one, I really donât know what youâre doing. Letâs not assume things.â Through her mind, dim sensations spent their existence in the thickening obscurity that enveloped her; dusk pervaded with geometric roses and old buildings. âAlso, I donât suppose itâs weird at all. I also donât suppose that you should socialize for the reason of knowing faces. A cruel irony.â She smiles, marginally. âBut alright, Am, if thatâs even your real name.â She joked dryly, leaning her shoulder against a tree. âKrystal.â
She looked back at the other, âI donât like my first name, it sounds too girly so I made up that nickname.â Amber was hesitant to leave or not, but wasting her free time with this girl wouldnât hurt, and she find her rather intriguing and interesting, maybe because she was the first person she encountered that talk too much. âHmmmmmm. Krystal, such a nice name. Whatâs the history behind your name?â Amber thought her name was quite familiar, and her face. âHave youâve been here before? You know, there are a lot of good stuffs in this forest, Iâve been here for lots of times since I like to discover new things.â A soft smile tugging across her lips, âAnd I know the fact that itâs quite dangerous here, so why not we stick up while walking around here. Well you know, itâs less dangerous, and two is better than one soââ she pursed her lips together into a thin line, laughing afterwards, âI was joking, but it would be fun to have a company.â

Kiko waited patiently as Amber gathered her belongings. She was itching to run already, not wanting to linger for a moment too long. She felt that if she stayed for too long, her facade might crack. As she waited, her vision became blurry once more. But she walked with Amber anyways out of the classroom. Her legs were shaking horribly, clinging onto Amber. Her control was slipping. The blurriness in her vision did not happen once, but twice now. She felt hot, sweat running down her forehead. Breathing in and out, she tried to control herself. Her mother had taught her that counting helped. And if she focused, she would clear her mind. Everything will be okay. She wasnât going to be blind yet. She canât.
Eventually, she gained her bearing and straightened up to her full height. The bluriness was wearing off and she blinked hard until it eventually disappeared. As always she plastered a perfectly crafted smile on her lips. She took her hand away from Amberâs grasps, already knowing it was sweaty. With shaky hands, she wiped it against her robe. âIâm sorry. Should we go to the infirmary?â She asked, laughing a bit as if that will somehow erase what happened from Amberâs memory. Without waiting for an answer, she turned, heading towards the stairs that changed its course. Once it did, she walked up, turning to a corner. She looked back to see if Amber was following and as she saw the girl, all she felt was apologetic.
How could she drag someone into her lies? No matter how much she pretended everything was okay and normal, she knew it wouldnât be true. Kiko made a mental note to tell Amber that she shouldnât accompany her to the infirmary. Perhaps she could go back to her dorm and pretend nothing happened.Â
Amber was just observing and watching the girl on the side of her eyes as she continued to walk wherever the direction the other was heading. She was letting the girl lead the way since she was a little confused about what is going on, or whether she was indeed going to the infirmary. âIf youâre not feeling well, I think we should definitely go to the infirmary.â
She followed the other, still confused with the incident earlier, she was a little hesitant to ask but she knew she needed to be enlightened by the incident earlier, she was really confused with what is going on with her, and what was happening earlier. She knew it was not migraine, and it was obvious that she was making excuses earlier.
âUhm.. I know itâs not in my position to ask⊠But I was hoping you could tell me what the hell just happened earlier?â

"Mhm, a good singer, totally.â Adriana said, nodding her head once, however, her voice showed a hint of playfulness and that sarcasm. With Amber, she definitely enjoyed playing around and making fun of her here and there, knowing that theyâd still be okay with each other. They were close enough not to worry about it at all which was why she liked it a lot. Amber would probably forgive her for what sheâd say to her and would shoot her with her own teases, but that was it. They never could grow angry with each other for it, at least, that was what she thought.
Shrugging her shoulders, she grinned at her before a wink had followed, showing just how she seemed to like how she was complimenting her like that. She nodded her head once, nudging the other before she crossed her arms over her chest. A hum came out of her lips as she stared at her, tilting her head to the side. It definitely wasnât so bad that she was being complimented as such. It was a good boost of energy, at least, she wasnât someone who easily got things like that into her head, which was why she didnât mind being able to hear such things coming out of her friend. âYeah, you should be happy that Iâm pretty flexible with people. If not, you wouldnât have found someone as cool as me to hang out with you, right?â
She rolled her eyes, noticing the sarcasm on her tone, not that she was actually a good singer anyway. She was actually a very very bad singer, and she was fully aware of that fact. She shook her head, a playful smile tugging across her lips as she watched the otherâs gestures. âYahâthat took a lot of effort!!â Soon, her smile turned into a frownâand into a pout. âYou, meanie.â
Amber snorted upon hearing the word cool and me in the same sentence, glancing at the other from the side of her eyes with quite disbelief, nudging her shoulders. âWhere did you get that? Did you got that from meâIâm pretty sure Iâm the only one who will ever say thatââ she laughed. âAlright, alrightâI was kiddingââ She did not even finished her sentence as her ears perked, she definitely heard someone else not far away from where they are. âShit.â She bit her bottom lip, grabbing the latterâs hand as she pulled her alongâshe only had a few seconds to think where would they hide, and the only thing she could ever think of a hiding place is aâstorage room. She opened the room. It seemed ratherâsmall for them to fit, but they lack time in finding another place, they could definitely fit but she doubt that they could even move once they were inside. âQuick, insideââ she motioned the other to go first before she goes in.

Jieun did her best to not look straight below her as they flew. She sometimes would get nauseous due to that very reason. Instead she focused on the surroundings as they flew. The view of the scenery was really nice at such height. âYou never know I might already know those places!â Slowly looking around she appreciated the small little details that she noticed. âYeah if anything itâs a surprise that I havenât visited the Forbidden Forest. Usually I enter the forest to enjoy nature. I donât usually venture in too deep.â Even though that was a lie, she was being honest in regards to appreciating the natural environment that the Forbidden Forest provided. Since her early childhood years sheâs enjoyed being outside and having missed the forests in Russia she often found herself venturing outside when she was too tired from studying.Â
âAh, I see. Iâve been there a few timesâit wasnât really that bad except during at night, especially at midnightâthe forest can be quite dangerous at dark.â She casually explained, her eyes fixated at the way in front. âBut yeah, the forest really has a very nice view!â she exclaimed enthusiastically. âMaybe we can do a little adventure one time thereâit would be fun and exciting!â she hovered the broom towards the ground until they reached the ground. The surroundings was definitely different, they landed on a small hill. There was a forest a few steps away to where they were. âAh, weâre here! Iâve discovered this place out of curiosityâ she hopped down the broom, offering her hand for the other to hold unto, motioning her to come down as well. âSay..... do you believe that dragons indeed exist?â

He followed into step beside the girl, scratching his neck nervously as they were led towards the office. âIsnât this a little severe?â he asked quietly, but the teacher overheard, glancing over his shoulder to look at the boy with a rather unimpressed glare. âWould you rather face the consequences by yourself? You caused a disruption in the Great Hall â thereâs no need for such vulgar behavior."Â
Connell stopped walking, his hands balled into fists by his side. âThatâs fine by me. I mean, I started it anyway,â he growled, looking to the girl briefly before returning his attention to the teacher. âBesides, sheâs got better things to do than listen to a sermon about proper conduct ând all that. How about I take notes for her and let her know when I get back?â The teacher studied the boy and Amber before exhaling quietly. âConnell Park, you realize the trouble you are letting yourself get into, donât you?" He simply shrugged, palms turned up in defeat. He felt there was no reason for them both to get scolded â it was just a little food fight. Itâs not like anyone got hurt, so why should they both suffer?Â
Amber bit her bottom lip, unsure what to say or how to react. Although it would be nice for her to get away with this, she knew she couldnât let the boy suffer all the consenquences all by himself, and she knew she was a part of this, âHave you heard of the saying âit takes two to tangleâ? Itâs okay dude, I am perfectly fine with dealing detentions and such, I have experienced this a dozen times before.â She sighed heavily as she eyed the other, before she eyes the professor once more. âNo need for that professor, Iâll be fine. Weâll both deal with this matter. Thank you very much. We can go on our own.â She clearly had enough already, grabbing the boyâs arm as she slightly dragged him with her, walking briskly towards the way.
Sighing heavily after realizing they finally got away from the professor, and only a few turns before they arrive to the headmasterâs office, she finally let go of the boy, slightly feeling awkward with her sudden actions. âHey man, IâIâm sorry.â She looked away. She was feeling rather awkward in saying sorry. Well, she always does feel awkward with apologizing and such. âLetâs just get done with this.â She walked briskly once more towards the headmasterâs office. Upon arriving, she had seated to the chair just across the headmasterâs table.
âSo what do we have here?â the headmaster had spoken.Â

"Really?" A grin brimmed from ear to ear as the other agreed with an affectionate tousle of her hair - she was going to learn how to fly! Well, she as going to learn how to fly better. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! I promise, you wonât regret thisâ And that I wonât set anything on fire." Praise Merlin, she agreed. The younger was getting close to considering bribery as an option. Eyes crinkled into little crescents, she nodded with a chirp. âMhm! I have a broom! I just have to run up to my room and get itââ Though she followed the senior regardless, a broad smile still plastered to her lips. âHave I ever told you youâre my favorite upperclassman? âCause you are.â
"You cannot exactly set anything on fire when you're flying, Aya." she stared at the other, eyebrows furrowed. "Why thank you--" an obvious flattered Amber now chuckling with the compliment but suddenly realize that the other can be just exaggerating, narrowing her eyes at the other. "Wait a minute-- You're obviously flattering me." she rolled her eyes at her as she continued to walk towards the field, after a few stairs and a few turns they finally made it. "Ah, finally! Let's get started!" she said with full enthusiasm as she went straight towards the middle of the field. "So, what makes you not a good flyer? What difficulties do you encounter? Maybe we can start with that."

Could it be possible that all their playful banters was something that brought them to this certain point? It was no lie that they did enjoy teasing each other a bit, flirting here and there and this definitely was one of them. Maybe the atmosphere was just perfect which made her want more of what was happening now. A soft laugh came out of her lips as she listened to her sing, shaking her head in disapproval of it before she nudged her lightly with her side. âGood, that was too cheesy for me to handle.â She told her, taking yet another step closer to the other before she winked at her. âBest not to let ourselves get into any more of those.â
"Well, making people happy is a talent that Iâve got up my sleeve. Same reason why I easily make friends." Adriana told her with a grin on her lips. She didnât exactly find it weird that she was saying such things to her, in fact, she felt pretty proud that she made her feel like that. It was something that she liked. This was nice, being thought of as such. "You really are cheesy, Amber." A smirk on her lips as she turned to look over at her, raising an eyebrow as she chuckled softly. "And I wonder why Iâm still not used you being like that."
âWhat~~â she whined, âWas I a good singer? You did like my singing, didnât you?â she winked playfully, laughing at her own silly action. âYah! I took an effort on that.â She playfully pout at her. She was really enjoying teasing the other that she wanted to do more of those, but she chose not to. Although it was enjoyable she still feel embarrassed since she wasnât really a good singer to begin with.
An amused smile tugging across her lipsââNo wonder everybody seem to like you.â She glanced at the other. âAnd I really think anyone would fall in love with you easily with that attitude of yoursâmaking people happy and such.â She looked at her teasingly. âI am always cheesy!â a victorious grin tugging across her lipsââAdmit it, you like it. You definitely like it, if you didnât you wouldnât be hanging out with me all the time.â She laughedââOh! There is one more thing I like about you, because youâre one of the few people who can handle my cheesiness.â she smiled at the other, facing her as she grabbed her hand and kissed the back of the latterâs hand playfully. âAnd with that I am eternally gratefulâReally, thank youâ

Letting out deep breaths Jieun nodded to Amber before getting on it. She often hated how thin and small brooms seemed for having to support an entire human body but nonetheless she gets on. Taking Amberâs hand she settles herself down on Amberâs broom. Not sure where sheâs supposed to grab for support she decides itâs safest to hold onto Amberâs shoulders. âOk Iâm ready. Donât go too quickly Iâll freak out.â She does her best to keep her grips firm but not too obvious to show that sheâs nervous.Â
Amber laughed -- Jieun freaking out was definitely a sight to see,but she was not that heartless to actually do that. "Alright, hold on tight-- We're going up." she gripped against the broom tightly before she soared up high slowly, watching over the girl behind her without looking, trying to be more careful with her actions. "You okay?" she asked, slowly drifting forward in a direction she was familiar with-- "It really looks pretty up here." she wanted to lighten up the mood, not wanting the other to feel nervous at all. "I swear you're going to love the places i discovered once we arrive!" She continued to drift forward, slightly glancing below to watch the trees from the forbidden forest that they were passing by. "Have you've tried going to the forbidden forest before perhaps?"

With a disgusting little splat, Connell brought his hand up to touch his forehead and pulled it back to see dressing coating his fingers. It dribbled down his face, and for a good moment he seethed quietly. âIf it seriously takes you an hour to fix your hair, your priorities arenât! Straight!â he pronounced, chucking a plastic container of apple sauce at her. It never got to hit her though, floating just centimeters from her face as a teacher approached them, lips pressed into a firm line. Connell visibly winced, slowly moving to sit down when he looked to the two Gryffindors. âAre you the ones responsible for this mess?"Â Swallowing, he stared at the girl down the table, wondering what she might say.
If it wasnât for the teacher, she was already planning to throw another chunk of messy food towards his direction. She sat down at her own chair, pursing her lips. She definitely didnât know what to say, and she wasnât prepared for this. Looking at her own clothes and glancing at hisâthey definitely couldnât hide the truth that they started it. Swallowing the lump on her throat out of nervousness, she simply nodded, she clearly couldnât get away with this anyway. âAlright, you two, into the headmaster's office!â Her head facing below, not being able to look at neither the professor or the fellow Gryffindor, she stood up and obediently followed the instruction which was to go to the office of the headmaster, the thought of meeting with the headmasterâshe was actually quite nervous.Â
â nostalgia ; jk & la
She feelsâeverything. It is her genius. It burns like fire. And there it was again. Summer materialized from itâs own volition from the inferno of calamity; summer, summer, summer. Summer seemed to have a mind of itâs own. To others, though, this story was the cautionary tale of a heedless fool. Figures of gossamer ivory emerged from the sky. And Krystalâshe lived as the clouds had lived only moments before, breathing deeply, her eyes seeking revelation, surveying the area for traces of an impish innocence. They share the tales of innocence lost as angels. That was the thing about seeing.
The hilarity of the moment seized her ribs, her lungs shaking with hushed laughter. Krystal cautiously emerges from behind a kingdom of flora, arms grimed with the soil of rushing through branches and leaves and blossoms. Her hair was mangled, there was dirt on her cheeks, but her eyesâtheyâd always remain the same. Chapped lips parted with a smile, the syllables spilling from her tongue. âTake it easy,â She laughs, full and candid. âThough, really, show yourself? Oh, calm down. Look around youâeverything is beautiful and sinless. I mean, look at it. Also, would you mind putting your wand away? Iâm not going to kill you or anything.â
She looked away, sighing heavily as she retreated her hand and her wand, almost touching her chest in relief. âBloody hellâyou scared me a little.â She glared at the latter, continuing her interrupted business operation: discovery as she continued to walk towards to a random direction which she wasnât familiar with. She suddenly stopped, taking a quick glance at the latter as if she was observing her. Well, she didn't looked familiar? Or maybe she was, but she haven't seen her around before.
âWhat the hell are you doing here anyway? I never thought someone would actually be doing what I am doing right now." Since she couldn't really remember seeing her before, why not take the opportunity to actually befriend the girl, and being the rather new student here, she assumed that the girl was an old student, it's just Amber wasn't that student who pays attention to the people around the castle. "It's pretty weird how i haven't seen you before... Maybe i should go out and socialize more often." she scratched her head. "My name's Am."
â different kind of night ; la & maf
A small laugh escaped her lips as she listened to the otherâs words, an eyebrow up before she found herself nodding her head once. âWell, as long as youâll take care of me once the panic comes upâIâll be totally up for going up there with you.â She told her, a teasing grin on her lips coming. It was true though. These two have always had crazy adventures together, too many for Adriana to even enumerate. It was just that when they were together, it was definitely a whole lot of fun between them. It was had not to have fun together and for that, she was pretty glad that she had met her. Things wouldnât have turned out like this if she hadnât.
"Not unless someone does make it into a reality, we have yet to find out just how that might work." She told her, leaning forward still as she looked up at the sky. This definitely was something worth leaving her bed for. She was pretty glad that she didnât fall asleep so easily tonight, if not, she wouldnât be able to explore this part of the castle with this certain friend of hers. It was something that she was willing to actually try out, see the stars in the dark sky that it had to offer to her. A smile crept up her lips as she looked over at it, soon finding her gaze locked onto the other.
A hand moved up to her hair, tugging on the ends of her hair a bit as she watched the other stare at her like that. It was something that she hadnât seen before, but there wasnât any bit of her that felt uncomfortable. At the most, she kind of wanted more of it. Taking in a sharp breath of air, she shook her head once, tucking a few loose strands behind her ear before she found herself sinking her teeth onto her lower lip. âYou like..â A giggle came out of her lips as she shook her head once. âWell, I donât mind staring at your face either. So, staring at me kind of reminds you of the stars, huh?â A step forward was taken which brought her closer to the other other. âI wonder why.â
Watching Adrianaâs gestures makes her want to do more. Maybe it was because of how she giggled, or maybe because it was how she tucked her hair behind her hairs â Amber didnât know which one was it, but she definitely like seeing those small gestures of hers. And her teasing grin? It was hella cute. Â She nodded, a teasing grin tugging across her lips-- âYeahâyou light up my world like nobody else, the way that you flipââ she stopped midway from singing, laughing at how silly she was, âI was totally kidding.â She giggled, pursing her lips together to stop herself from singing any more cheesy lines and such. She mimicked the other, stepping closer against the latter casually.
âHmmm.â She glanced at the other teasingly, âMaybe because you make me happy just like how stars make me happy? Does that sound weird?â she laughed, feeling slightly embarrassed. âBecause the stars make me happy just by existing and just by not doing anything. I like looking at the stars because they give me that calming feeling that feels like iâm drifting from reality, and it feels like I can do anything. The same feeling that I feel when Iâm with you.â A soft smile tugging across her lips, as she glanced at the sky, clearly avoiding the otherâs gaze.
