somehow, no matter how hard they tried, the occupants of tower one could never live the way their architect intended...

section of a quilt made of, I believe, elastic bound, fabric button caps. given the quantities, they're probably leftovers that a worker cobbled together into a series of "blooms". found it at a thrift store 15 years ago, framed it, and it's still one of my favs (probably because it reminds me of my memaw, who constantly sewed these beautiful homemade quilts from leftover fabrics)...
