When you first started gaining, did you expect to take on this shape, for lack of better phrasing? Did you think the weight would sit in the places it does? Did you have an idea of how cycling between gaining and losing would impact the way your body felt?
I didn't know how my body would put on weight but I'm very happy with the chubby all over/pear shape look I've got.
From what I understand when a person loses weight they lose visceral fat first (the fat under the abdomen that gives people a ball belly shape if they have a lot of it).
So my theory was by gaining/losing and regaining I'd gain more subcutaneous fat (the fluffy fat just under the skin that's all over your body). It seems like that has been correct? I'm sure there's other factors at play (genetics, exercise, diet) too.
Subcutaneous fat is 'healthier' than the visceral fat (less pressure on organs) so by occasionally losing weight it makes gaining more sustainable long term. I also prefer subcutaneous fat aesthetically 😊
In denial
My favourite moment as a feedee is the very first few months in which you still fit into your "usual" size of clothes, you just have to suck in a bit more or struggle a bit to get those pants to zip or button.
But it all still somehow fits, so you're denying that you've gained those extra few pounds. You start to be considered chubby. You notice only after you compare your pictures from a while back to the most recent ones or even later, when someone points your weight gain out.
And when you get turned on by those two situations, it's already over for you.
It's time for a new weigh in!
