"-....Remind me again why I keep up with you?"
❝You do know it’s a bit hard to forget something like that, especially when it’s something that’ll keep you up at night wondering what the other could have possibly meant.❞ She was starting to get annoyed by his attitude. But then again, she was also starting to go into a mood where she really didn’t want to talk, not because of him, but it was just in general. Alex nodded her head as he spoke once more. ❝Actually.. I guess it was more easier to explain. That’s basically what I was trying to say, we are more alike than each other’s opposite and that’s probably something that makes us fight all the time. I.. ❞ Alex paused, looking up at him, not realizing until then how she had slowly made her way closer to where he was. ❝I didn’t really do anything though. I mean.. I feel as if I was just there to.. maybe show you the path or something. I don’t know. But you did this for yourself. You got on the right path.❞
"I didn't meant anything wrong. Damn Alex can't you stop making a big deal out of something as silly as this? There's no real double meaning. Nada. I swear on my life that there's nothing else to admit." if she was going to push one more time he would give her the silent treatment and leave the room. If she couldn't understand that there's nothing else to admit; Sam has no idea what he's doing wrong when trying to tell her so."-... and sometimes it's a real pain in the ass." he saw her taking a few steps forward, his reaction was to do the same, as they met halfway."You lit up my way in and made sure I wouldn't stumble out. Why do you think I insisted to be near you?"
"Sam, will you just do something then? I get that you have this thought about me, but it is getting really boring real fast." Although she was certain that there was tension, this whole act was becoming well, too constant for her to enjoy anything that could deal with her and Sam doing anything together. ”I hate that you make me wait and I am fucking impatient, so if you’re not going to do anything,” she glared at Sam as if there was nothing more than words to be stated and no actions to be done. After a moment, she gave the other a smile and shook her head. ”I’m getting tired, so,” she began near him, fingers hoisting the wine glass between her fingers, “if nothing is going to happen, I have a date with a electronic boyfriend who has more stamina than most men.”
Sam wanted to smirk, to snap back with some witty remark to her words, but all coherent thought had escaped him. And in a way she wasn't all that wrong about him. He has lingered on the suspense for a long time now, maybe a little more than he had intended to in the first place. And now it was time to give in. He closed the meter remaining between the two and let his hands moved to her hips, pulling her to him."-...impatient and stubborn, you're everything a lady's not." with that not so complimenting remark, he goes for the kill, kissing her deeply, wordlessly attempting to convey how much he wanted her, how much he needed her.
❝So you won’t say this but you’ll say other things you know will make me mad at you?❞ Her eyes narrowed a tiny bit as she looked at him, her hands playing with the necklace that was around her neck as she did so before dropping her hands to the side. ❝Yeah, only the main base, the surface. Otherwise it doesn’t really fit us. I just.. I can’t explain it in the way that I see it. And I’m glad you did find yourself and try not to be someone you’re not since I would rather you be the person you really are instead.❞
"The other things are just the usual stuff. It's best you forget I ever said that." with her gesture towards her necklace Sam just knew she was starting to get annoyed by his attitude. But what she didn't understand it's that he was trying to save them from fighting and arguing all over again."we're more alike than each other's opposite. I owe you that about myself. That side you like.... if it wasn't for you I would be far gone down the wrong path. And we both know I was close to get lost in it too."
"—- I don’t think you care, but I also am not wearing that one thing." It was then she parted from him, head shaking from side to side. If he wasn’t at least going to bother, then she’d easily slip from his hold; no reason to venture down the teasing path when she knew the outcome. "I think you’ve said no," she began to meander away, heels clicking along the wooden floor while grabbing for two wine glasses, "you always reject whatever comes your way and that," Genevieve gave him a quick look, brows knitting together, "is really a pain in my ass because every time I try to flirt with you, it’s work." She began to pour out the wine, her gaze narrowing on his. "Do you realize how bothersome that becomes or are you completely oblivious to affection from strangers? Let me rephrase that; strangers who you’ve been living with for a little over four months and have already had sex with. What’s up with that?"
Sam let out a sigh when she began walking away, and pretends not to notice any sort of look she shoots toward his. He had been pushing her away so many times since the first time they had something more intimidate going on between the two. And it wasn't because he was indifferent to her. All the opposite, if she wanted to know the truth. But every times he considers her he has this memory of Emily; the girl he once loved, and it refrains him from acting too foolishly and risking to get attach to someone he might lose too. Even if he's tempted to screw the thoughts in his head and do whatever he pleased by heart. "-....you're overreacting. I never said I wouldn't touch you, you didn't even gave me the chance to start anything. I'm not oblivious, you have an effect on me-... and if you would have stayed a minute longer where you were before you decided to wonder away, you would know how much."
"Sam, I’m not in the mood for games, so," she drew closer, golden hues sparking while fingers reached outwards, touching the lapel of his jacket, "I’m not going to waste time because there really is no reason to do that either," again her fingers went over the material before running her fingers along his neck, a grin approaching her lips, "so, how about we cut the bullshit and just have some fun?"
Sam suppressed a smile at the grin she wore. “Oh, you.” he regards her with fondness in his voice. “The smugness never stops, does it?” They’re both staring now and a second of silence passes before they slip into the familiar nature of their relationship; playful banter as Sam liked to called it. There was never a boring moment. Conversations flowed easily between the two of them and Sam felt as though laughing never came easier around her."-... i'm tempted to refuse the offer but it's... really hard... to say no to you." eyes lowered down to her hands slowly sliding up his neck, grinning at he noticed and felt so.
❝But I actually want to know what that way is.❞ It would probably hurt, scratch that, it would and she had a feeling it would because of how he avoided her eyes for that brief moment. But Alex still wanted to know. ❝Opposites attract? Yeah, I don’t really think that quote truly works for us. I’m quite fine with that too. I don’t want either of us changing for whatever reasons, whether it’s because of the other or not, unless we want to.❞
"Nu-huh Alex I ain't gonna risk having you mad at me." She would be mad at him and it's the main reason why he decided not to tell her about it. "Oh yes it's that line I was searching for...what are you talking about? it's the most accurate quote so far. At least on the main base of our relationship that is. Doesn't get past stage two. You told me once to find myself, and not try to be someone i'm not, and I did. Now i'm not gonna make the mistake to take that away."
“Sam, you honestly think that I’m going to come closer?” Her lips tugged into the familiar grin, head canting to the side while her hands fell to her waist, a smug, almost shit eating grin spreading across her features; gods this was torture. “I mean, why don’t you come closer to me instead of the other way around, how does that sound?”
She had him confused. Her reaction far from what he had expected. But Sam knew better than to expect the easy way out with her. After all she always takes pleasure in teasing him on a daily basis, and he confirmed it. Giving her a look that cross the line of amusement, he crossed his arms on his chest and looked back at her."-...I asked you first."
❝If that’s the nice way, what’s the other way?❞ Alex gave him a bit of a look, her arms stopping half way into folding across her chest as she looked towards him. ❝Not going to try and deny something like that because I guess you are right. We are both complicated and all things we have in common did pull us together. Though those resemblances also sometimes make us clash together..❞
"A way that's gonna remain unknown." Sam avoided her eyes briefly and scratch at the back of his neck."-...you know what they say.... eh, yeah, there's no accurate quoting for that. We're just who we are and i'm damn fine with that."
"—- I’m positive." She gave him a grin before standing upright, her attention reverting to his features. "I told you that I’d wear it." She no sooner noted her dress, glancing over Sam as if to bring him to realize this was for her. "So, what now?"
Turning on his heels, not missing to send her one of his endearing and ‘clothes dropping’ look, Sam headed towards the kitchen and put his bag of chips down on the table, wiping his hands together, before reverting his attention back to her."-...first thing first, come closer to me. I ain't gonna bite."
❝I don’t really feel indecisive on a lot of subjects, maybe when it comes to you yes. You’re just.. you’re someone that’s hard to read and it gets confusing sometimes.❞
"If you say so.... Wait. I'm the one who's hard to read? Alex you've got me confused since day one and even that's putting it nicely. Not that I don't like it, don't get me wrong, but I think we're both complicated and our resemblance drew us together."
She shot a gaze at the other, smirking somewhat til shaking her head. “—— Sam, I think we both know what we want and it’s not crooked chips… or whatever those are.”
"Are you sure? Last offer there really good, ketchup and all." Sam eyes traveled up and down her body, noticing the skirt, with a satisfied look on his facial features."-...I see you kept your word."
❝So are you basically saying that we are both confusing to each other? Or..?❞
"Something like that? I know we're both indecisive on a lot of subject."
"I really thought about it and decided to lose the tie. But I still have the suit you requested. And bought a bag of crooked chips, you want some?"
❝You can be quite confusing, you know that right?❞
"I think it works in both ways regarding you and I."
