Exploring the Jacobson dungeon

After being saved by Moira from a epic fail tumble across a pit drop, Ember paused to inspect a cryptic puzzle whilst her party investigate nearby scuttling sounds.

Withdrawing from impending combat, Cricket and Morgoth join Ember in solving the inscription.

With a few drops of Morgoth's blood (triggering Moira's dhampiric thirst, failing to resist temptation and biting the tabaxi's neck) into the ornate altar chalice, adjacent rock doors part to reveal a secret chamber.

Morgoth approaches the stone figure dripping red (fruity) liquid, indulging in the restorative properties

The team suspiciously approach the chamber feature

Having imbibed the healing liquid, Morgoth and Ember defiantly block the doorway, attempting to convince Marco and Cricket to also partake (until Cricket speared Ember!)

The previously detected scuttling revealed to be a trio of carrion crawler hatchings

Marco, Moira, Ember and Cricket catch up with their ally as a carrion crawler matriarch emerges in a disturbing sight

Ember (summoning a supportive spirit) assists Marco and Moira with the paralysing hatchlings

whilst Morgoth and Cricket tackle the matriarch spewing venom over them

As the shrouded, camouflaged cricket mounts the matriarch, Morgoth delivers the fatal blows, causing the remaining hatchlings to flee

proceeding through the dungeon leads to the Jacobson salt processing plant...

The epic conclusion to Core Season 1

Lightwave, Cuthbert, Azrel and Tristam return to the Twilight Grove, wade through a gauntlet of twig blights to discover Belak the Outcast, malign guardian druid of the ancient Gulthias Tree, with Sharwyn Hucrele and Sir Braford enthralled. Shouts for help from the Colletive seniors, Dhimwhit and Bishop, as they are slowly being engulfed by the monstrous tree.
