Brendon had two nights with Harry while he waited to play MSG. He was sorry he’d missed the whole banner raising, but he had been on a stage himself and caught it on video later. He’d finally managed to get over the nerves built up over the last four years, and adjust his set into a solid show. He was enjoying himself again, and was excited to bring his own show here. He was also happy to spend time with his boyfriend before they both separated again. He didn’t know why he always seemed to start things before going on the road. Not that he’d do anything bad out here at all except eat, sleep, and sing, but it just made it hard to be away. He wanted to make the most of the time they had.Â
He walked up the stairs of the building and put in the door code, letting himself in. He made his way to the apartment and knocked, bags slung over his shoulder. It would be a nice break from hotels. Even though he was tired, he was also energized. His self-confidence had come back in and it was amazing, and it was time to share it while he had the chance.Â
Harry smiled and and opened the door, throwing arms around B in spite of all the bags he had. He couldn’t help himself. His nerves faded a little bit when his heart started to pound. “I missed you. I hear you are amazing. I’ve seen all the videos and they are incredible,” he gushed, meaning every word. Harry was good, had an instant connection with his audience, and put on a good show. Brendon could do the same, the way he moved effortlessly, and such a powerful voice. There were people you just couldn’t help but watch and this man was that one.Â
He pulled him in, taking bags from his shoulders. “Come on, I’ll show you around.” The apartment itself had a very open floor plan. Harry always appreciated open spaces, so there wasn’t much else to see except the room they would share. “Kitchen, living room, table,” he said, pointing to each with a cute smirk. “Follow me.” The best was yet to come.
