The mystery person from ch94
The common theory is that the mystery person is Eren, so Iād like to offer an alternative theory. There are a lot of implications that it could be Eren, but Iām still not convinced.
Things that go in favor that itās Eren:
- His hair is long and we know that Eren grew his hair a little bit after the 9 month time-skip in ch90. If he kept growing his hair a bit more, it would resemble the hair of the mystery person.
- His nose seems similar to Eren, and looking at that nose we can scratch Armin and Hange as the possible options.
- His height is scratching Connie and Levi as options.
- Heās definitely male, so Sasha and Mikasa are scratched as well. The only other possible options are Jean and Floch. Assuming that the person is from the SC.
- His leg seems to be missing, which may indicate that the person is a titan-shifter, cause they can regenerate limbs.
- Heās going to the hospital, and everyone in his family are doctors, so maybe he plans to meet with someone.
Things that donāt go in favor that itās Eren:
- It doesnāt make sense to sent him to Marley no matter how you look at it. So far the most important mission has always been āProtect Eren at all costsā. So sending him to Marley where he canāt be protected if his identity is revealed is a risk thatās too high to take. Everything would be over if Reiner happens to see him and recognize him. It doesnāt matter if Eren transforms, he couldnāt escape from 4 titan-shifters and thousands of soldiers on an enemy ground, even if the entire SC is with him.
- Itās obvious that fans would suspect that itās Eren, so why keep it a mystery for 2ch if it really is Eren?
- Shouldnāt the spy wear a disguise? Jean wore a wig when he was pretending to be Eren, so they have those.
So hereās an alternative theory: The mystery person is the 9th titan-shifter that is missing.
Marley had 7 titan-shifters in their possession, and they chose 7 warrior candidates. However, only 6/7 were supposed to inherit titan-powers, and the warrior candidate whoās left behind doesnāt inherit the 7th shifter in the next 13 years. There must have been a reason for Marley to reorganize their armyās structure, and why Porco Galliard had to wait for the Jaw titan to come back, instead of inheriting the 7th titan.
When Zeke spoke about it, he still didnāt have the BT. So if the Marley lost one titan during the war with the South, whoever stole that power, would at the present time have less time than Zeke has, which is a year (or less), and he would look for a successor.
The person who stole the power was probably a part of the Eldia restorationists (cause as far as we know there arenāt any Eldians outside Marley and Paradis), and he wasnāt following Reiner, but Falco. Falco is from the Grice family that was known for helping the movement, and he was chosen as a possible successor because heās different from other warrior cadets (he helped that middle-east soldier, which is not what warriors are supposed to do).
It seems to me that the mystery person was wearing an armband on the wrong arm on purpose to catch Falcoās attention. Falco said to his family that heāll come home later, so he remained with the mystery person.
Isayama has been teasing us with the revelation of the last titan-shifter, so it does sound plausible to me that the āmystery personā has something to do with the 'mystery titan-shifterā.
