genesisoulâ:
Her dream started to blur and get farther away, like she was being pulled away from it. She didnât want this to end, she wanted to stay in the warmth of his smile for so much longer. She slowly started to regain consciousness as she felt a hand start to gently rub her back and a familiar voice. Blinking slowly as they readjusted to the brightness she saw the only person she wanted to in the world. When her face saw Gueira, she couldnât help but start to tear up again. She was just happy to see him again. Anilith was all too afraid that she wouldnât be able to see him again. âIâm crying again. This is so stupid.â she said rubbing the few stray tears from her eyes. Taking a deep breath and starting regain herself, she sat up a bit more. âIâm just happy to see you..â she said softly. âI wasnât waiting for you.â she told him. âI just- fell asleep here thatâs all.â she lied. How could she tell him how she felt? What was there even to say? She didnât even know if heâd even give her the time to say all the things she wanted to say. âButâŠwhy are you here? I-I didnât think you wanted to see meâŠâ
Awkwardly gesturing his bag, he mumbled something about work and needing to grab a few things. The painful reality that he couldnât bare to tell her is that he really didnât want to see her as of the moment, it was just too painful to be around Anilith right now. Heâs reminded of how much of an idiotic pathetic failure he is and that she deserves more than this. More than him. Yet he canât even grit himself into telling her the truth, not when heâs at the mercy of her tears and how much it meant to her that he was there.Â
For a while, he said nothing, choosing the words in his head carefully afraid of another wave of arguments about to burst the flood gates open with one wrong move. âLetâs talk later, after you get some decent shut eye.â Gueira scratched the back of his neck, setting the bag down on the floor for a bit. This wasnât an abscond, he will get back to the issue and if she didnât believe in him then he wasnât going to prove it and let her be. âIf..â He sighed, picking up the bag and slinging it on his shoulder. âNevermind.â
