“I bike, but only recreationally, so you’d have to hold back speed a bit. Also considering my bike isn’t exactly all terrain, we’d probably have to go along a path, but I’d love to. Maybe we can even stop and go to the park, have a picnic?” she suggested, unsure how he would take it.

Mel laughed at her sister’s excitement, and her compliment. “See, this is why you’re my favourite sister.” Mel joked, grabbing the bag with Gwen’s gift. “What kind of sister would I be if I didn’t bring you back an original I found?” Mel held up the pink dress, briefly leaving the engraved bow in its bag.

Gwen’s eyes widened, looking at the fabric before taking the skirt of the dress in her hand. “It’s amazing... Oh my god... An original?” she asked, curious.

Jake laughs at the expression on the girls faces before they walked out the door. “Maybe you do. Or maybe I should move out? I mean, I’m nearly twenty and still leaving here.” He said as he turns the TV on. “See, the thing about that is we are family so it’s not like I have a choice but to love you.”

Gwen walked past him, snagging the TV remote and turning on Slice before she took a seat on the couch. “You would love me even if we weren’t related,” she scoffed.

Gwen was walking down the streets, making her way home after a practise in the woods. Her crossbow was hooked around her shoulder as she walked the short distance back to her house, but she was distracted by a noise. Looking around, she notched an arrow in her bow, aiming it in the direction of the noise as she walked closer, noticing a vampire draining an innocent. “Let them go before I drive this through your heart.”

“For you?” Travis responded looking up from the sketch pad with a serious expression, beginning to shake his head but laughing half way through. “As a matter of fact I do need someone here, i’m getting a lot of people asking from New Orleans and some other near by places trying to set up appointments with me but I have little time to work out the details with them.” He said leaning back into the chair. “So the job is yours as long as you don’t royally screw up my schedule.”

“For me,” she replied, smiling when he said that he needed someone to work for him. “Perfect. Don’t worry. I’m pretty good with schedules. Never double booked anything in my life,” she smirked.

“I know that much captain obvious.” He rolls his eyes at her. The elder Gilbert made sure he at least got there a few seconds after Gwen did. “Fine..” He sighs in annoyance. “Okay, okay. Ladies. Funs over. You all have my number. Call me or something.” He frowns as they all pick up their clothes and start to leave. “Hate you, Gwen. Despise ya.” He laughs before turning the trashy music off; then moving to seat on his couch. If this was mean girls, the room would smell like baby prostitute.

“Yeah, call him and I’ll rip your throats out!” she called to the girls as she left, giggling. “God I think I really need my own place,” she smiled, the room smelling thickly of a mixture of perfumes. “And you love me. You can’t even deny it.”

Luke shrugs “nothing really, just catching up with family’s and old friends, that’s pretty much it” he smiles. “Maybe we should do something” as friends because she is way too young for you dude he thinks to himself “you know, hang out and all that stuff.”

“I’d really like that,” she said, unable to contain her smile. “I need some more people who I can hang out with in this town. I find I’m either alone or with Jake, and even then, I can’t because the last time I went home I interrupted one of Jake’s little orgy parties.”

Jake let out a groan of pain as she elbowing his ribcage. When did she hit so hard? “I know you have both!” He said and followed behind. “What are you even doing home? Gwen chuckled as he groaned when she elbowed him. “I live here, Jake. I got bored writing at the coffee shop, so I just decided to make my way back. Plans change, ya know,” she said, making her way down the stairs to find the girls Jake was talking about lounging around in lingerie. “You should tell them to put there clothes back on. Your little orgy is over.”

Jake couldn’t help but laugh at his sisters reaction to the music. “Wait. Wait. WOAH.” The elder Gilbert jogged to get in front of her and block the door. “Where do you think you’re going? I think to your room. Which is upstairs? No?” He furrows his eyebrows at her. “Nothing to see here..Move along.”

Gwen scoffed at her brother’s behaviour. “Oh I’m going to go downstairs if I want to go downstairs,” she said, giving him a look before elbowing him in the ribcage as she pushed passed him and began walking down the staircase. “It’s not like I haven’t seen a vagina or boobs before, Jake. I kind of have both.”

“So what would you write about?” he asks “isn’t there the saying that every great author has one story their just dying to tell?”

“Not quite sure yet... I haven’t found that story quite yet. I’ve written short stories, but they haven’t developed into much else yet. They’re just what they are. I’m still looking for that story.”
