alrighty so managed to do the knock out minthara recruitment but it took me three tries because it's not at all as simple as it sounds. gonna post exactly how i did it because having it not work three times killed me
speak to halsin to get the kill the goblin leaders quest. don't get him to accompany you. id already killed gut by this point so i don't think she makes a difference.
turn on non-lethal damage. attack the guard next to minthara to get the -attitude. knock her out and deal with any other goblins that rush in.
kill ragzlin before a long rest. deal with any goblins that rush in.
long rest in the room you find ragzlin in. use free camera or w/e it's called to check that minthara is up and about in the other room. she should be up and on full health.
fast travel to the emerald grove environs and speak to zevlor, without telling halsin you've killed the leaders. he'll tell you halsins shown up already.
i went straight to the tieflings party in that convo, went to the shadowlands through the underdark, met the harpers, ran to the convo to kill the drider and get the lantern and straight to moonrise to find minthara. she was there when i did all the above steps.
there's probably other ways to do it and I don't know exactly what it was about this one that worked, but I think it's to do with making sure you kill ragzlin after knocking her out but before you long rest, because the time i long rested in between she didn't show up in moonrise.
"You're not hoping to find a coin in there, are you?" She'd ask, half joking as she takes in your serious face.
Her ears are very human like, except at the end, where it's subtly more pointer than any human ear should be. As you run your finger alongside it and gently hold the tip between your thumb and pointer, her breath hitches.
8.5/10 would let you do it again but in secret.
Laezel
"Is this another weird custom of this Fae-roon?" Just when she thought the locals couldn't be any weirder, she is proven wrong yet again.
"Very well, I'm willing to try this once, just know if you pull, you might just end up one arm less."
Her ears are hard, rubbery almost.
There are rigges and bumps along the edges of her ear, and yet it only makes the texture even more enticing to brush your fingertip against.
If she does feel something, she doesn't show it. After it's over, she looks at you expectantly.
"My turn."
Karlach
"My ears? Really? Soldier, you know I'm happy to have your hands on me, but wouldn't you prefer something else?"
She would rather you run your hands through her hair or feel her muscles, and she is not subtle about it in the slightest.
"Alright, come here, feel them as much as you want."
The most pointy so far, you twirl a finger around one of her piercings, and she melts in your arms.
"This...feels much better than I thought it would."
It's warm to the touch. You can feel the thumping of her engine heart through them if you touch them for long enough.
Minthara
"And just what makes you think you have the right to?"
You must have a death wish. If you weren't in a relationship, it's an instant gg on your lifespan king.
But if you were...
"Ask properly, and I'll grant you this privilege."
It's either on your knees or on her lap, she will make you work for it.
But the second you touch them, all this effort seems worth it as you witness her ice cold exterior slowly melt away with each caress.
They are soft at the base and harden towards the end, longer than an elf's ear and pointier. Very smooth to the touch.
For those who were upset about the lack of ending cards, apparently there is cut content where you do find out what everyone's doing 6 months later. Shoutout to Guthixian_VALUE on Reddit for finding these. I'm certain Larian will eventually add these back, given all the feedback from fans.
Withers has gathered the companions together one final time as a reunion of sorts 6 months later. They each exposit their various activities. Minthara is not here because she is only present if she is partnered with the player (she is still a speaker here but can change).
Download the file and open them in your internet browser to read. You specifically want to read the files starting in END_GameFinale_. Some of these were folded into the last conversation with your RO, but were initially for the epilogue. My favorites are below the cut.
Note: These are all platonic endings. It seems like romantic endings were adjusted and added into the game as the last conversation with your lover(s).
Astarion:
I've been readjusting to living in the shadows. And trying to keep an eye on thousands of vampire spawn terrorising the Underdark. They look to me as a kind of leader. It's very sweet, actually.
Halsin (this was folded into the game but was initially for the epilogue, see the "Daddy Halsin" cutscene here):
There are nine whole wagons of children without families in tow. They are my duty now. 'Daddy Halsin', they call me. Who am I to tell them otherwise? devnote: Smiling proudly/with amusement to himself on 'Daddy Halsin'
Shadowheart:
I've been with my parents, mostly - making up for lost time, caring for them how I can. I don't know if I'll ever truly shake off all that Shar did to us - made me do to us... but I'll try.
Gale:
Perhaps Mystra has forgiven me, but hasn't deigned to inform me of the fact. Such as it is with gods. Either way, I've spent too long living under that shadow. Now I'm free to return to what truly matters - exploring the unknown, extending mastery of the Weave for all mortals... and catching up on my reading, with Tara curled up in my lap.
