“The pack sees me like this all the time,” Dillon grumbled and tried to focus; he didn’t have full control over his powers, not like Tsuki or Getsu or RJ. Transforming was hard and he was currently trying to work on that, moving from wolf form to human right now; he had gotten most of it, though his tail and ears were out and he had fangs.

“Not anymore. Only me.” Jae Seong said, grinning wide. He cupped Dillon’s head and leaned forward, nuzzling the bridge of his nose near the base of Dillon’s wolf ear. This was a level of cute even Jae Seong couldn’t ignore.

Dillon grumbled and glared at Jae Seong as he nuzzled him though his tail was wagging quite a bit and his wolf ears twitched slightly. “Oh so even the twins can’t?”

Jae Seong nuzzled Dillon a moment longer, pausing only at the thought of the twins. “Mmm… I’m afraid, like this,” he pulled back to look down at Dillon, but didn’t release him entirely. “You’re too cute.” His gaze softly narrowed. “I might have to keep you for myself at this rate.” The fox mused, hardly above a whisper.

Dillon growled in his usual grumpy puppy way and his tail continued to wag in  contradictory happy way. “I am not cute, I’m just a werewolf who is not entirely transformed right now that’s all. And you’re certainly not gonna be keeping me.”

"I beg to differ, that's the very definition of cute." Jae Seong snrked! "Whatever, you shouldn't feel bad, puppy. I'm how old? And it happens to me, too..." He almost mumbled. The fox curled a finger gently to Dillon's wolf ear, giving the back of the base tender rubs. "I dunno... No matter how I think about it, I'm going to have to keep you."

“What the hell are you up to, fox?” Dillon asked, raising an eyebrow, arms crossed across his chest. The young werewolf didn’t know why Jae Seong was doing any of this but he was figuring the reason was silly.

JaeSeong sat in the middle of the floor, sorting out odds and ends of random things from around the house into separate piles. Both the largest pile, and the closest one to him had been deemed the ‘mine’ pile. While the rest was just everything else. He glanced up briefly at Dillon when the wolf spoke before returning his attention to the task at hand. “Of course you wouldn’t know, would you?” JaeSeong smiled to himself. “Bad-mannered kid. It’s that time of the year when the most people would come by and bring offerings to my shrine,” he explained, oggling at an object in his hand. “But, even if you knew, you’re someone who wouldn’t bring me anything in a million years. So, I took the liberty of going through your stuff and picking offerings for you to give to me.” JaeSeong beamed, but when he looked up again, it almost seemed like he was trying not to laugh. “I’ll make sure to bring you many more years of good fortune for your generosity.”

“Soooo…you’re gonna steal my stuff,” Dillon said and rubbed the bridge of his nose, “You’re such a weirdo. What happens if I try to take my stuff back huh?” Probably a curse he was guessing and honestly he didn’t really think Jae Seong would go through with it; the fox spirit looked ready to laugh and he was tempted to smack him, gently of course or else the twins would be upset and so would Jae Seong, not a win-win.

Jae Seong shook his head admantly. “Whatever do you mean?” He feigned innocence. “It’s not stealing if you’re offering it to me– which, I must thank you for, by the way.” The fox winked.

“I’m not offering them to you, you crazy fox,” Dillon said rolling his eyes, “You can’t just decide what you want for yourself. I’m the one who has to decide what if anything I want to give you.”

Jae Seong blinked a couple of times, a newfound curiosity filling his gaze. The fox set the object in his hand on the floor in front of him, between piles. Putting a pause to his sorting, he extended a finger and pointed straight at Dillon from where he sat. "But then," he blinked again, holding his hand in the air with an open expression. "What if I say I want you?"

"Ahh, so it's like that..." JaeSeong mumbled to himself. He shook it off, and reached for Getsu's arm excitedly. "You're going to eat them with me, right?" He smiled, reading Getsu's expression. One of his favorite things in the world-- next to compliments, cuddle piles, and Tsuki's baked treats was whenever he ate together with someone. It was something he'd only began experiencing after he'd met them.

Dillon raised an eyebrow and looked at himself, indeed covered in blood. He nodded. “Yeah the hunt last night got a bit heated. I should get cleaned off.”

“No need,” Jae Seong replied simply, gripping the garden hose sprayer and raising in aim at Dillon. The water was cold, and even more so in the chilly morning air. The fox breathed, and he could see his own sigh in the form of a fleeting cloud. This time, perhaps for the first time, he took mercy, and ended the attack quickly. It was nothing more than a quick spritz, though it did its job in soaking the front of the wolf’s bloodstained clothing.

More peculiar than that, though, was that the gesture didn’t end in its usual chipper manner. No excitement, no mischievous smile, and no fear of retaliation. Almost as though Jae Seong had been drained of his energy, or perhaps, was even disappointed in something.
