Well, that was certainly strange. Where was the look of realization and fear? The begging of forgiveness, the swift fleeing? Come to think of it, Togami hadn’t seen this girl at all before their unfortunate collision. A freshman, she must have been, so logically deciphered in the few seconds that the heir had tuned out her rancorous whining. Goodness, how could anyone, even boring people akin to this girl, stand such rudeness?
Even if he’d stopped paying attention to what the runt had started saying, Togami could pick up the gist of her ranting. He’d… heard this tone of voice before, and extremely recently, as well. It was… well, she sounded just a bit like him, save for the obvious lack of refinement and decorum. Not even the heir himself would resort to such profanities. Such a vocabulary was reserved for the classless. He was going to regret this later, most certainly, but Togami could not let this verbal assault go without some sort of retaliation.
“Excuse yourself. Do you think you’re entitled to any sort of special treatment, scum? You are nothing. Absolutely nothing. A lowly underclassman, in need of being put in her place. Now, indirectly, I have already done so. If you would shut your pathetic mouth for even a second, you’ll see just who it is that is standing, and who is lingering on the floor like a clumsy spider.”
“In any case, you should be thankful that I’ve decided to waste even more time to deal with your idiocy. I’ll repeat myself once, and only once. Either apologize for your incompetence, or remove yourself from my presence. I advise you to realize who it is that you are dealing with, and act accordingly.”
In retrospect, the boy’s passive aggressive attitude was caused by a culmination of many different, equally aggravating facets. The trouble of having to walk four flights of stairs, the mind numbing idiots that occupied this school… Most vexing, however, was the audacity of this school’s administration to force him, Byakuya Togami, to have to act as a sort of mentor to some freshman kid.
This better not be that kid…
