Yay crowded public transportation
I never thought I'd be happy about a crowded bus, but since Japan it feels really normal. I was nervous when I first got on the bus because there wasn't alot of people, but as the bus filled I started feeling better like this is how it's supposed to be. Who would have thought crowds could be a comfort?

Reverse culture shock posts will be tagged as rcs (last warning). It used to be a joke in Japan when I stumbled over English sentences because everyone did. I was a little embarrassed because I knew people would tease me when I got back, especially if I slipped into Japanese, but experincing it is very different than imagining. I'm not making as many mistakes as I thought I would, so maybe that's why when I am teased it feels extra bad. I regret coming back because now I don't belong at home it feels like, but if I stayed another year
Lowest point?
Reverse culture shock posts will be tagged as rcs (one more warning). I think I'm actually at the lowest point; depression. All I want to do is sleep or watch mindless TV. Even playing video games seems tiring. I also have emails I need to respond to but I'm not. I'm still talking to some people (and half forcing myself ) so that's good. I'm hoping acceptance kicks in soon.
What would I give for a conbini?
Reverse culture shock posts will be tagged as rcs. I miss the good, easily accessible food from a convenience store but also the small interactions. Besides the food, I miss the very limited conversations I could have. Now I don't know what to say or how to act, especially now that I can have a real conversation. I miss being able to just hand over my bills and pay in cash. Stores in America make me feel very uncomfortable; they're loud and I can't find what I want. Probably because I want conbini food.

Last year I moved to Japan and used tumblr less and less. The last thing I remember posting was about needing stitches after cutting myself, but I donāt know if that was on this blog or my JET blog. Anyway, I stopped using tumblr because it put me in a negative mind set and I realized everytime I browsed my dash it made me upset for one reason or another.
I intend to to go through and filter my dash in a few weeks, so if I unfollow you please do not take it personally.
I need an outlet for my reverse culture shock so Iām hoping I can use my blog to post things that either make me happy or get frustrations out (and letās be honest there will be some fandom posts).
I am sorry to those who did enjoy my blog and I disappeared.

I don't feel safe PART TWO
Reverse culture shock posts will be tagged rcs So, the big city in my area has been steadily growing more dangerous according to the news. Drug overdoses, homicides and robbery is on the rise. Half jokingly, half serious I've told people I don't want to go down there and get shot. Everyone rolls their eyes and says; "It's not THAT bad." But according to the news, it is. The violence is spreading around downtown and just getting worst. To the people here, they have seen it but also lived through it while I've only watched. I feel like my sense of not being safe is being belittled but I'm trying not to make anyone annoyed by how worried I am. Granted, none of them have had coworkers and students look them in the eye and ask: "Are you going to be shot? Are you going to die when you go home?" It's no wonder I don't feel safe.
I don't feel safe Part One
Reverse culture shock posts will be tagged rcs I live in a fairly safe place in America. We have our homicides, rapes and murders like everyone else but it's never someone I know. It's never a large amount... But I'm never surprised. In Japan, I can think of three times I was actually afraid: when I was walking home at night and 4 men were walking in front of me, when my laundry fell with a crash and I thought someone broke in and in Kyoto when a man insisted on walking me to the train station. I ended up lying about my stop, and he left me alone from there. Sometimes I was afraid that someone got inside my first floor apartment when I forgot to lock the door, but it was always momentary. Overall I got used to being safe. I would take out the equivalent of a thousand dollars from my pay check and leave it on my bedside table (debit cards aren't much of a thing in Japan) and never did the thought that someone could steal it cross my mind. The first day I got back I couldn't sleep and thought I could walk to the convenience store but then I remembered I was in America, it was 3 AM and the closest one was 30 minutes away. In Japan the closest one was 5 minutes away and 3 AM was no big deal. I don't know when I'm being over cautious or the right amount.

Hi, I saw that you watched the Yowapeda movie. Do you maybe remember if the back of the Kyofushi tracksuit jacket is all purple, or has a white part like the front? I'm making it for cosplay, and the promo picture only shows the front (the movie hasn't aired yet where I live). Thanks.
Man I can't remember...I want to say it's the same in the front and the back but ... I kind of remember being pure purple :/I tried to look up the pictures to remember (seeing the front maybe I could remember) but I can't... Sorry friend. If I have any memory I'll post.

Is going to the bookstore and finding the series that should have ended yeas ago came out with a new book three days ago. Peacemaker Kurogane is still alive.
At the conbini a salaryman had his briefcase on his suitcase while checking out. As I passed him it fell perfectly into my hands. We both apologized like crazy and walked away. I think I missed the chance to begin my shÅjo adventure.
