Yes, you read the blog's name right: we'll be having a gumworth week in 2026! ("Yippees" and "hoorays" from the crowd, please!)

The week, in true fashion of the original @gumworthweek, will happen in late september, specifically 21st to 27th, but! More information and rules will be posted later this month, as we can't get ahead of ourselves right now

Finally got around to drawing the glasses prompt! I think Gumshoe would look super cute in glasses, and I think Edgeworth would agree. I have no further comments.

Hi everyone! I'm sorry for the radio silence! I've been a bit burnt out this year, so I lost some steam promoting the prompts this year, especially since I've been trying to translate everything into two languages... But it's okay! Because GumWorth week is forever!

Whether you posted for GumWorth week or shared other people's works, thank you always for thinking of these two! I'm always keeping an eye on the things posted to Twitter and Tumblr, so please feel free to @ us if there's anything I didn't share here!

@gumworthweek 2024 Day 4 - Genderswap / Bodyswap

I'd like to think Edgeworth would be absolutely horrified to find out just how terrible Gumshoe feels on a daily basis! Since Gumshoe is a big guy who's spent years working a highly physically and mentally demanding job whilst too poor to eat and running on basically nothing but fumes, I think the likelihood of his health being in pretty bad shape is very likely, even after Edgeworth raises his wages. Experiencing it for himself really shocks Edgeworth into realising he needs to be even more committed to listening when Gumshoe complains of aches and pains or feeling tired — he doesn't want to lose his partner to a heart attack or other health condition, after all...!

Happy GumWorth week all! It's the last day so I'm very late to the party, but here's my contribution for Day 2 — I just love the thought of these two doing silly things together and being goofballs!

I really really wanted to draw Edgeworth in a trenchcoat he deserves one.

(Gummy is so happy they match!)

And we have quick little sketchies of Edgeworth in Gumshoe's coat and Gumshoe in Edgeworth's glasses.

And Gumshoe's picture of Edgeworth that he totally doesn't have hanging on his fridge (or would if he could afford one).

Little fluffy drabble for Gumworth week! Thanks to the awesome mods for running this event!

Edgeworth hummed contemplatively as he stared into the crackling flames of the fireplace, leaning on his husband’s shoulder. It was late, nearly midnight, and Dick’s slow breathing was a sure signal he’d doze off any minute now. Still, the weight of his husband’s arm on him was a comfort, pulling him into a sleepy embrace.

He never thought it’d be like this, did he? A fire in the fireplace, the aroma of freshly-baked apple pie lingering, the cat snoozing on the sofa arm, the dog at their feet. Outside in the coop, the chickens slept, huddled together against the chilly autumn night; they’d be clucking again at dawn, rousing Miles from sleep as his husband snored.

Ten years ago, the scared and self-hating man that was Miles Edgeworth would have never dreamed he’d be worthy of contentment like this. That someone would hold him through the night and he wouldn’t jolt up in a cold sweat, thinking of steel and smelling blood. That he’d have someone by his side to build a life with.

As Miles nuzzled his husband’s stubbly neck, his eyelids grew heavy. He’d put the fire out in a moment and gently shake Dick awake. But for now, as he let the fire warm his face and his husband warm his body, he couldn’t help but feel absurdly, preposterously grateful.
