When you go out to conventions do people go up to you and say "Hey your projareds wife!" or are your cosplays just so good that they don't recognize you?

My name is not “ProJared’s wife”. I don’t want people to know me as “ProJared’s wife”. I have invested untold hours and dollars into educating myself in costume construction, developing my cosplay skills, building an online presence and offering what I know back to the cosplay community. I’m not famous by any standard, but you think people should know me as “ProJared’s wife”?

I appreciate when Jared helps promote me and shares my videos. That is a real bro move of him, but he does it without me asking. And I’m willing to occasionally answer questions that I get about him, although the vast majority go unanswered in my inbox. Because I am not here to talk about Jared. I’m here to talk about cosplay, which is what 95% of this blog is about.

You probably didn’t mean this as an insult. But man, I think I am offering something of value to people who are interested in costumes. If anyone is following me because of who I’m married to…don’t bother. I don’t need or want that.
