Morning practice: I have been focusing on opening the doors of my heart. Learning to heal old wounds and nurture my true nature. Allowing the truth to be seen. Illuminating myself and discovering where I was not shining light. The truth within my heart cultivates honesty and integrity. This is self care in the highest form. I've tried with all my might to hide and cover up my heart's desire. It seems to beat in my chest until I have no choice but to take down all the walls that hide me from being caught in the act. I used to think love was rare and precious, like a time and place that has not yet happened. Now I see that love is here. I have experienced a wild truth, a untamed connection, and an effortless freedom, where love is always present. Aren't we more than what our mind wishes is to be? I am being and becoming. I am not a thought following another thought. I'm choosing to exist. Why do we go so far away from our actual self? Sometimes I feel the need to get there, when what I am really looking for isn't anywhere else but right here. I move so far away from my truth, trying to improve my external significance and my external experiences. I choose to manifest the real in me. I wish to abide in a peace of mind. I choose to practice love in my heart, for all of those who may benefit from it. Found a bucket of roses to stop for, along with post yoga buzz with a remarkable student. I pulled these too cards today. I thought very fitting, after teaching a vinyasa focusing on understanding our inner flame, Manipura, and the fire element. Among other thoughts: I want to share that my determination can sometimes take on a serious face, but as these flowers remind me, 'stop and smell the roses'. They shout silently, "I'm in bloom right now!" They are right! Life is in bloom! There is beauty everywhere and in everything, even our past.
