ALL KYLE WAS CONCERNED ABOUT was that they were going to be married. It wasnât even a worry, but it was more of excitement than anything else. Now that he was here looking at Guy those nerves he felt dripped away. This was going to be their day. One that they will remember for a long time, and he was more than ecstatic at the idea of getting to spend forever with Guy â it was a dream come true.
Kyle knows that theyâll have to get moving soon, there was a lot of family and friends out there waiting for the two of them. He couldnât wait for it, making him nervous again â but itâs a good form of nerves this time. âI like the idea of a tie.â He admits with a grin.
A wide smile spreading over his features. Heâs glad that Guy likes the sound of that because heâs more than happy to take on his name, wearing it proudly too. âWe deserve our own show after all the things weâve seen. Iâm so ready, almost-my-husband.â He says softly as he stays close to him, despite knowing theyâll have to get going.
If Guy thought his smile couldnât get any wider, he was wrong - the second Kyle says heâs ready to go, Guy beams at him, happily holding him close. He canât imagine anything better than this, than today, than this moment here with Kyle, the two of them about to head out there and get married. Itâs a life Guy never thought heâd have for himself - but he was wrong, so wrong, and heâs never been more happy to have been wrong.
He presses one last kiss to Kyleâs temple before nodding his head. âSâgo get married, then.â He says with a grin, leading Kyle out of the room and towards the hall where the ceremony is being held. The fact that so many of the Corps are here to see them off is one thing - all of them together, all of them dressed up nice and formal, all of them happy to see this happen. But the fact that Kyleâs mother is here, Gerard and Gloria - Guyâs brother and sister, here for him despite everything theyâve all been through as a family. Friends and family watching proudly as they two of them step up to John, waiting to officiate this whole thing.
It feels like it flies and drags on all at the same time and Guy loves every second of it, his eyes glued to Kyle. Heâs always the most incredible, gorgeous man in the universe to Guy, but somehow heâs just all the more beautiful today. John goes through the motions, says the words that will bind them together for life, all across the universe. And of course they both say their piece, reciting their vows and itâs nothing neither of them donât already know about how they both feel for each other, but the reason behind it is so much more, now. Not just words, regardless of how true they are - but promises to keep for the rest of their lives, and Guy means every word of it.
The moment comes, and they kiss - Guy takes hold of his newly-wed husband and dips him then and there, leaning down to kiss him, strong and steady and passionate, probably much more passionate than they should but he doesnât care, not when he feels like he could burst at the seams with joy at the fact that theyâre finally Mr. and Mr. Gardner.
The cheering and clapping brings them back to reality, straightening up and Guyâs got a huge grin plastered on his face that heâs not sure heâs ever going to be able to wipe off. The next few minutes are a rush as they head down the aisle, holding onto each other tight, and stepping out of the hall to supposedly make their way to the Warriors for the reception.
âHold on -â Guy pulls Kyle into a nearby empty room before anyone else can follow them out of the hall. He knows they need to spend some time with everyone else, they need to head out for the reception. Itâs going to be a real riot, a huge party to remember and he doesnât want to miss it - but they can be a little late, canât they? âJust - wanted to take a second with my new husband, if thatâs okay by you.â
