An identity related to the way everything feels far away from yourself, so close and yet just out of reach. Everything has changed and yet it feels all the same, a never-ending cycle of waking up and repeating everything you've been doing forever. You've become numb to the cycle. If you could, you would allow yourself to be swallowed by your bedsheets forever. The rot has already seeped into your home, and you cannot be bothered to clean it. It feels like a party you weren't supposed to attend, standing in the corner and waiting for the door to be unblocked. Everyone knows something you don't; a cruel secret that was never meant for your ears. The world has moved on without you, leaving bugs to crawl over your skin and the ever-lasting feeling of being watched. Reality has blurred with yourself, leaving a mess of flesh and blood and confusion. Once there was a distinction between the two. You look in the mirror. You are mourning yourself.
