Last checked was at 250. admittedly, since I regained the ability to eat I have gained some back but wow, chemo and cancer made for a sizable weightloss.

Sorry, there was a development
So on the upside, weight loss is going good. ( Last I checked, about 290.) Downside, there are some health issues that came up. May explain some earlier problems. The health blog will be updated again soon, sorry for the slim pickings. New blog planned, will update but you can check my poetry blog for details... Classypublicpoetry@ tumblr.com. -Guy(BRB)
Oatmeal, can save you life Bro.
Healthy Self-Image
Honestly, our society as a whole is full of hard working, honest people with a desire to help each other out. But there is a side to our society that is selfish, cruel, judgemental and perverse. Shame runs deep for those who do not meet the ideal, and those who do are often objectified and enslaved by the lust of others ( I’ve studied it for years).
That is why I am sharing that each and everyone of you striving to live a healthier life, be a better person, good on you! You are the shining stars and the future of tomorrow. But do it for yourself, please. Don’t do it for a lover or a social group at school or a dream job. Because in the end, you are the one that benefits or deals with the concequiences. It may not save your relationship or make you popular or rich. But do things to bring you to a better place if you are unhappy. Use it to build a better life.
dear anon: I'm sorry but I'm not going to promote that trash on my blog, nor will I expose those honestly seeking insight into healthy weightloss and health self image. you should evaluate your self value. Based on your blog, you have a lot of self worth issues (makes me feel very sad for you really).

Adding bike to the routine
I have been working at diversifying my workout this month. The tread mill is home base, but with the arm rower and now stationary bike I try to mix up the standing and sitting exercises with a little track work. A couple things I suggest is work everything evenly. This means providing the time, a challenge for all of us this time of the year. The bike has helped with the treadmill. (Knee and ankle joints get a break on the bike but watch your hips on the stationary bike)
worries
As I have taken on more work I have found that mom has gotten less mobile and the arthritis is slowing her down. We would walk in town after daily morning Mass, which has ended because I am at work by 8. (Missing both) It is in the back of my mind and while I understand each person is responsible for themselves, I am concerned for her future mobility. I figure my assignment ends in June, we will pick up again and be in time to get our early morning summer walks in. Looking forward to it. (Work went on till September, yay)
Lenten go to’s
No meat Friday's got you down? Here are some of my favs I pull out for Lent:
Perogies (Polish potato dumplings)
Tofu Bacon bits (so taste like the bacon but not bacon)
Vegetable soup (hearty frozen garden goodness)
Soups are a great choice this time of the year because it warms you up and it helps start that spring cleaning you know is coming....
Return of the Treadmill
This week I returned to my walking / jog on the treadmill. It went well. I also started the rope swing machine that helps tone the upper body. I'm starting slow and careful. One of the things I have learned is at some point you must jog to reduce fiction. Either that or increase your stride. It's a work in progress.
rest week 2
This week I got new shoes. I am still concerned about my right foot as it is still having some issues. One more week should do it. Only walking this week. Next week I'll try again.
On the plus side, before my stall I had shaved off a total of 3 minutes from my original starting time this month. Small victories are your start.
Bone Bleed
With my increased activity, recently I have run into a small problem, old shoes. Traditionally, I wear my shoes till they fall apart. But I have run into some problems. Recently my physician has suggested a shorter life span for my shoes. Plus, I have calcium deposits forming on the tops of my feet.(yikes) As a result, I am going to tone down the jogging a bit, just till things heal and hit the shoe store to change things out more often.(Looks like my new lifestyle has incurred an unplanned expense). This set-back will cost me about 3 weeks, but with inserts and an alternative workout, I'll keep it up till I can hit it again after the micro-fractures have healed.
Treadmill Update
The quest for the 2 10s continues. I have been working on shaving down the minutes and have made a bit of progress... Current mile is set at 17:44 which is and improvement from my start of the new year of 19:36. I have implemented a bit of light toning lifting to help balance the run and to control the irregularity of activity in my work. (Stationary vs. Heavy repeative) Boy, has the office become a mine field of cheat foods! Will power don't fail me now!
My new gym shirt. (It was a gift)
Long Term Goals
With a new year, I'm thinking about goals, both short and long. My newest long term fitness goal will be to get 2 miles in 20 minutes. (I currently get around 1 and some change). Moving from casual to a gradual push on performance in the body can be demanding, but when your ready, it will pay off. So 2015's goal is to make the 10 minute mile a reality. Keep me in your prayers.
I felt it, and it was good.
