When I started out as a designer, my main objectives were to >Increase incomes for both New and Existing Businesses by connecting the right customers to thier businesses. >Boosting the brand awareness of start-up businesses , entrepreneurs and SMEs both digitally and offline with Strategic Design Solutions. I've met with clients who complains about not making Sales or not getting known the industry and from my research, I discovered there is lot that was left out when they wanted to start the business. Building a brand is not a day job, and you have to be consistent with it. That's why you need a good and strong Brand Strategy before diving into creating a logo or giving the Brand a name and the rest. You products needs to be in certain way before people can buy it the exact price you call it. The main reason why the same bottled water you buy by the road side is quite different from the one you buy in restaurants. Having a quality product is not the only weapon you need to use against your competition. How about packaging the product the right way in order have a competitive advantage in the market. You need a Unique selling point. The reason why, people will buy from you at higher price and Skip other vendors that does the same thing you do at lower price. A good design is one of the force of attraction you need to help connect with the right customers. Why is it that you are able to recognise a Luxury product on the shelf of a supermarket even without having the prior knowledge of it earlier? Why is it that your mind will tell you that a product is expensive even without looking at the price tag? It's not magic, it is the way the product is Strategically Presented to you. Every single I strive to make that happen. And I'm happy my clients are getting results. What if there is a platform where Africans are able to share different stories about the African Fashion and Style, wouldn't it be amazing? Afrifash is a discovery platform that is meant to make that happen. Where various people from different countries in Africa , shares their Trado-Cultural Fashion history which can even open way for new ideas and innovations in the fashion industry. What if the next Nike, Gucci and Versace comes from Africa, wouldn't that be great. Anyway @canva is the tool I'm able to quickly reach out to, when the idea dropped to my mind. And it seems to come out cute or what do you think? I saw #chrisdo 's billboard somewhere online last night and I wanted to try my own version. Don't mind me if it's the exact replica, it was intentional , the intention was to design the Banner and apply it on mock-ups using #canva. #onuoahui is the model and the #canva ambassador here in Nigeria. How did it turn out ? So yesterday, I went to #Airtel office to get a Sim card, while sitting in down waiting for my turn to be attended to, I saw this flyer flexing on the counter top, I was tempted to pick it up,. But I resisted twice, but I broke the third time. When I saw the design , I was 😲 and I started 🤔. Now I have the flyer with an unexpected design, what do I do? Immediately I remembered canva, and different ideas started pumping in, I was in a hurry, because I can wait to get home so that I can #canva it. when I got home guess what happened, my phone got broken, I felt bad and I was confused about what to do next, my mood changed and I lost all the inspiration I had, so I decided to I have a time out , I went to sleep immediately and when I woke up I felt a little bit ok, I picked up my phone again and started designing and before you know it I came up with this design,although the broken screen made it uncomfortable for me to design well, and I even forgot to do a proper research but I was happy that I could do something out of it.
