kvtiebell:
katie knew fred was a touchy subject for george, as it should be. it wasn’t the best subject for her either, but she believed if she brought up his name every once in a while, it would bring the both of them farther along in the healing process. the process was pretty slow for katie, honestly. she didn’t have much time to even think about fred, which was bad. she was either working, or hanging out with george, or helping ron– the list was neverending. she did like to think about him every now and then though. it hurt, but it would only help the healing. “oh, you were very plastered, mr. weasley.” she teased with a grin, wiggling her finger at him. “there’s some things that you did that night that i remember, and haven’t told a soul. there’s also things that i did that i will never tell a soul, because they were quite embarrassing.” grabbing his hand she glanced around the streets, her eyes spotting an alley not too far away. “alright, the three broomsticks it is. i don’t feel like getting into much trouble, anyways. we’ll save exploiting the wizarding world for another night.” with the smile still on her face she walked towards the alleyway, apparating with george as soon as they hit the darkness of it. once at the three broomsticks she squeezed his hand gently before letting go, looking at him with a smile. “buy me a drink, and we’ll see if any of those stories will get told.”
his eyebrows raised at her revealing to him that he’d done some things that night that were quite embarrassing. he was very curious as to what he’d done. did he try dancing with the statue of the architect of hogwarts again? did he try making out with a girl from another house that he didn’t even know? did he attempt to skinny dip in the black lake? bloody hell. he certainly hoped not, although he wouldn’t put the idea past his drunk self. drunk george did more idiotic things than sober george, and he knew it. but more importantly, what had she done that night? he had to know. he followed her and let her take charge of their apparition trip to the three broomsticks. at her ultimatum, he smiled. “very well, miss bell.” he took her hand in his again and pulled her along with him as he went up to the bar to order their drinks. he leaned against the bar top and waved over the bartender with his free hand, never letting go of katie’s hand in his other. “i’ll have two glasses of single malt whiskey for me and the lady here.” he looked back at katie. a sly smile crept upon his face. “alright. would you like to share some stories now?”
