So much of the world feels like they are living under a rock or in an alternate reality. We may not want to take part in that mentality, but physically is another story. Since 1935, Vasquez Rocks has played the facade in dozens of films, tv shows and music videos. Think that was a long time ago? Before1850, much of the Napa Valley regularly flooded. Levees now prevent such flooding, everywhere except the Trancas Crossing Park which is designed to respect and protect the ecosystem inside. While it rarely still floods, the water has come up to 25 feet which makes that random kayak we came across pretty handy. #escapemore (at Trancas Crossing Park)

One of the many friendly faces of @windgapwines! Not only are some of their finest wines on tap ready for you to enjoy in a growler, they currently have a wonderfully funky cider, which pays tribute to the former apple facility they now call home. #escapemore (at Sebastopol, California)

Did you know California has 27 National Parks? The latest and greatest addition to the system is @pinnaclesnps. Today we took a hike through the Balconies Caves to say hello to our newest friend. Holy former volcanic formations, Batman! #escapemore (at Pinnacles National Park)

We brought purple flowers to the altar and said goodbye to an original, the way he would have wanted it-a dance party in a cemetery with 4000 strangers who quickly became friends. Maybe you caught us on @latimes social media or @questlove's Instagram video? #escapemore (at Hollywood Forever)

Listed in the @guinnessworldrecords as the largest collection of rabbit themed items (over 30k so far), The Bunny Museum sits in a private home in Pasadena. Stuffed animals, dolls, clothing, food packaging, landscaping, movie paraphernalia and of course live bunnies decorate the space. While it was a real test of allergens and anxieties, we are pretty sure we won't see anything like this again. $5 entrance fee. Bring in only your camera and phone and perhaps a Clariton or two. #escapemore (at The Bunny Museum)
