Honouring just a few of Lauren Mitchell’s many accolades and I’m sure I missed some. Lauren was one of my favorite gymnasts growing up. She really hit her stride right as I was started to get into following gymnastics in 2008 so I feel like she was one of the major gymnasts that I grew up with. And I’m honestly so impressed that even through the multiple injuries she had post London 2012 she continued on to the best of her abilities even with the turmoil that Australian Gymnastics had towards the end of this Olympic Cycle.

You know the best thing of all though? realising that the version of you they picked on, ignored or treated as substandard no longer exists. you’ve grown since then. it’s super cool to realise how much better you could be once you left that environment.
