Gymnosofi

I'm a Oslo, Norway-based nudist, and this is my blog. From Wikipedia: Gymnosophy (from Greek γυμνός gymnós "naked" and σοφία sophía "wisdom", Norwegian spelling: “gymnosofi”) was a philosophy practiced in Europe and the USA from the end of the 19th century to the mid-20th century. In the early 20th century, the term was appropriated by several groups to denote a broad philosophy that included as a central thought that the nude human body is a natural condition and should be widely acceptable for the betterment of society. This philosophy is related closely, and often interchangeably, with nudism, naturism and has close connection to the hippie movement. The purpose of this blog is primarily to gather stories, articles and pictures that depict nudism and naturism in a way that closely reflects their core principles. You will also note a healthy dose of science fiction, as well as all things Norwegian (my country of origin). PLEASE NOTE: Reposting of photos and other information from blogs does not necessarily indicate full support and approval of those blogs. Some blogs tend to mix pornography and nudism. There’s a word for this:

That definition is from dictionaryofobscuresorrows.  While beautiful and a cool concept for a blog (I don’t wish to discount their work), I think it’s important that people know that a lot of people won’t know this word because it’s not technically a real word.

Interesting.

I think this caught my eye because the Norwegian word for “probe” is “sonde”. Typically, a probe is used to study or examine one specific thing - even though it may pass many other things along the way.

please remember that even though father’s day is sunday, not everyone has a good relationship with their dad. no one is required to forgive a parent for hurting them. no one is required to love a parent just because they are related by blood. forgiveness is not required for peace of mind and if you guilt someone for expressing their hate for their dad on the 21st, you deserve to be punched in the face.
