Reblog if you think fanfiction is a legitimate form of creative writing.

I know there are some fanfics out there that are cringe-worthy and reaching, over the top, ridiculous, and so on. I find those said fanfics a bit annoying - knitting my eyebrows annoying.

However, there are fanfics that are so beautifully written, and emotionally draining (in a good way ofc), to which I am very grateful to have read them.

When English isn’t your first language, reading fanfics in your first language (if there are even any) becomes so much more embarrassing???? And sometimes I wonder why native English speakers don’t get that feeling when they are reading in their native language???

This is why I cringe when I wrote a flashfic of HB in Filipino, and when I have read Filipino HB fics in wattpad. I feels weird to read any fanfic in my native language.
