tfw when this year’s met ball theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, is literally the best theme ever, the possibilities are truly endless, and yet there are so many basic ass prom-looking dresses and tuxes in varying jewel tones with a simple golden halo. where’s the catholic FEAR????? the weeping madonnas??? the devils??????? the stained glass???? like i can’t believe how incredible this theme is and how many of them are wasting it. like you could go full on holy saint or sinner or super ornate and over the top but like whatever all you bitches just use ur millions of dollars to wear the same stuff you can wear to any kind of event. y’all just wanna look pretty instead of taking a risk and doing something ridiculous and unique and game changing.
