I took my hadal snailfish to the Georgia Aquarium as a prop for my kaiju fursuit Hadal. We had a great time watching the whale shark and the snailfish got a lot of complements!

Draw Dinos Daily day 3: Bonitasaura!
I have never heard of this guy before, and it was a bit difficult to find non jurassic world references, but here he is!
He's painted with glaze onto a round planter... thing. This post will get a bonus part 2 when its been fired and I go pick it up!
Quick and sloppy reedling for day 2. Giving kestrel more than reedling perhaps but its cute
I haven't gone to bed yet so it's still the first of the month, that's how that works right?
Anyways, yay! Draw Dinos Daily day 1! Asilisaurus!
SHE'S DONE
After over a year of on and off work, Hadal is REAL and made her debut at Megaplex last month! She was a true labor of love, and I'm so excited to properly share it with the world!
(Accompanied by Boron and Koda, two of my good friends)
Wow it's been a while! In my desperate rush to finish Hadal's suit by the con I completely burnt myself out and didn't get her finished in time. But! I'm happy to announce that she's nearly done! She still needs some adjustments and final details, but I did a test fitting the other day and she looks amazing! Considering she's the second fursuit I made, and first full-body, I'm super proud of how she's turned out so far!
Body bits! Hopefully by the end of today I will have a fully functional fursuit!
The tail is complete! It's a 5 foot floordragger tail with a zipper on the base for removable stuffing.
The tip is weighted with about half a pound of pellets to keep it on the floor, make a nice thunk when you drop it, and give it good motion.
There are 15 total scutes running down the back made with minky and a thick foam stabilizer.
The tail straps are wide enough to fit an SI joint support belt which reduces drag weight of the tail and creates a more secure connection
This took quite a while, it's the biggest thing I've sewn so far! And I'm so ridiculously pleased with how it came out. On to the body and feet!
Arm and leg stripes are all sewn! This was probably the trickiest part for me but I'm learning a lot about how to sew these more complicated curves on a machine!
The head is nearly there! (Modeled by my good friend Panda who has helped me out a ton today with the hand sewing) Just need to sew on the cheek fluff and mouth lining, then the whole thing can be glued, have a final shave, and get the nose! The tail is also about halfway done, cat for scale.
She's really starting to come together now! I've got about a week and a half to get her all done so let's hope I can do it!
All of the fur has been pre shaved and good god did that make a mess. But I've finally started sewing the face together now!
Took a break from suit work to make myself a very silly badge for the convention in celebration of Zoo Pals coming back!

Her head is at the lovely, ugly stage of being tape patterned haha! But this means starting tomorrow I can start with the fur, and then Hadal will REALLY come to life!
Well this was originally gonna just be for when she's all done, but I figure I can show the in progress work of Hadal as well! Her paws are all finished now! (minus the bias tape liner, but that's an if I finish in time thing haha)
They're built off of the lobitoworks paw pattern that I modified to have the 3d puffy paw look, bigger claws, and her whole palm pad!
Next stop, sewing the leg padding so I can pattern the bodysuit!
