That’s really good advice, I never thought of that. But then again my boss isn’t that likable? It would take a whole of acting on my part to make this friendship happen. You know I’ve only went to work once with a hangover, wasn’t the best day. I decided no longer to drink on the weekdays. 

Fake it til you make it, man. No reason for your work friends to know how you are in real life. But weekday drinking is the best drinking! You get to feel like you’re doing something you aren’t supposed to without any of the consequences that come along with actually breaking the rules.

It’s hard to have to explain to someone that you’re not ignoring them - you’re building a world in your head. I promise that I’m not spacing out because you’re boring, it’s just that I got inspired and I don’t have a pen. Is this the reason why I don’t get a lot of second dates? Probably. To do list: Learn to listen a little better, or at least start carrying post-it notes in your pocket so that people don’t think you’re texting when you’re just trying to save an idea in your phone.

Sorry man, but it’s probably always gonna look like you’re ignoring somebody. I know personally that if a guy doesn’t seem present in a conversation or a date, I lose interest. Save the troubled artist look for at least date three.

So maybe playing a video game at work wasn’t the best idea? But in my defense I finished everything my boss wanted me to do in record time. So honestly I think I EARNED that video game time. What else was I supposed to do at work with a couple of hours left? Honestly I should be in charge of that office by now. Everyone else is slow as hell. Oh well, I need something to take my mind of it. Any takers?

See, the secret is to befriend the boss. Then they won’t care what you do, cause you’re tight. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve slept off a hangover in the managers’ office while somebody else manned the cash register.
