Not many bosses tend to want you to play video games while on the clock. One of those things where if you aren’t doing something productive than you aren’t working, or however that works. What ended up happening? You good? Oh right, taking your mind off of it and not asking more about it. What games you into? 

Oh trust me, I was saving the world in my video game that’s as productive as it gets! Oh yeah I’m good, he just yelled at me and told me to double check everything I worked on, which I tend to do twice already so. What a good question! Everything! I love first person shooters, rpgs, fighting games, racing! You name it I probably like it. Do you play any at all?

See, the secret is to befriend the boss. Then they won’t care what you do, cause you’re tight. I can’t count the amount of times I’ve slept off a hangover in the managers’ office while somebody else manned the cash register. 

That’s really good advice, I never thought of that. But then again my boss isn’t that likable? It would take a whole of acting on my part to make this friendship happen. You know I’ve only went to work once with a hangover, wasn’t the best day. I decided no longer to drink on the weekdays.

If we’re being real here, you were kind of in the wrong there, pal. Like you’re being paid to be there so like… you should technically be working. I think you need to get better at hiding it, though, ‘cause you never know what they’ll ask you to do if they know you’re done. 

I mean technically I should be working, but I’ve done everything I needed to do. The routine here goes, I finish a project early and there’s literally nothing to do in the mean time. Since the rest of our team isn’t as good as I am, I don’t mean to sound conceded but it’s true. I’ve offered to start something new in the meantime countless times but he’s not fond of someone doing something else. I should really just branch out and work for myself soon.

So maybe playing a video game at work wasn’t the best idea? But in my defense I finished everything my boss wanted me to do in record time. So honestly I think I EARNED that video game time. What else was I supposed to do at work with a couple of hours left? Honestly I should be in charge of that office by now. Everyone else is slow as hell. Oh well, I need something to take my mind of it. Any takers?
