hello. my "name" is Alaska. it's my home state. that is not my real name. you have no need to know that.

my pronouns are she/they. i am 18. this is an 18+ blog, so minors, DNi. if you do, you will be blocked.

this is a place to talk about the fears on which I am facing. there will be no set posting time. you get what you get.

please feel free to send me a message about what you are facing, anon or not. i don't expect this to blow up, so idk why I'm writing that anyway.

if anybody comes on here and starts bullying me or others, you will be reported and blocked. no warnings.

i am black, the n-word will be used if needed, and yes, i will censor it. if anybody comes on here and slams me for using a word that i have rights to, you will be blocked.

fuck a*lin. FUCK A*LIN.

i should have seen it coming. i tried to push it away, push the signs were always there.

its always been me and my best friend since 7th grade, or M2. last year, we had a new friend join, a*lin. we were such good friends, until she stopped talking to us. she would do things that we would be making fun off...

she was only "friends" with us if we were drunk. and sometimes, she would get mad at us for drinking.

yesterday (6th April, 2023) she decided she no longer wanted to be friends with us. she said that she is in a better headspace (which i'm super glad for, she deserves that) but that she no longer wants to be friends with us because we are "isntigating her negative headspace."

i can't even explain it without crying.

me and my friend don't deserve to e told that we are "bad friends" when all we have done is been by her side, supporting her. she has been pushing us away for a long time.

my lockscreen was our "trio" friend group, and i had to change it before i cried again.

what about our plans for the future? our trip to japan?

it was coming. i just didn't want to see it.

it seems like everything is going well in my life currently.

i have narrowed down my college list to two colleges that sent me offers (YAY!)

i have come back from spring break feeling rejuvineated, refreshed and tan (us black melanated girls get!!)

i did something.

i have a "friend" who moved away from where i currently live, who somehow found me on my socials. including a text messaging app.

she has been texting me non stop, making tik toks about me, and being rude when i don't respond to something.

so i set my boundaries. and a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

she's using me as a therapist, which i am not. i am not a trained professional, which she should be going to in the first place.

and i feel soooo good.

i sign off my posts as "thanks, alaska."

this is mainly because i want to go by a fake name, but also beause i care deeply for my home state.

today, joe fucking biden approved the willow project: a huge oil project by conoco phillips that will destroy the north slopes of my home state, alaska.

this will hurt our native communities, as no money will go to their community. and a language native to our native alaskans, Unangan Tunuu, will be at danger.

only 100 native speakers of this language are still alive.

i am trying to preserve this language.

if anybody is interested in learning the basics of the language, below is a website that is set in alaska that has good lessons on the language.

yk, sometimes i feel like i'm slowly going insane.

then i remember something good that happens later in the week, and that feeling washes away.

for example, this friday (Friday, 17th March, 2023), i get to go on two long plane rides (which i love) and get to see a old friend.

its keeping me grounded.

its funny, i'm texting my friends "i'm sorry i'm a burden, i feel horrible," to "i'm so exicted for friday, i'm going to send you so many pictures from my travels."

yeah. i'm mentally ill :)
