Gift- An unknown to many!
The word ‘Gift’ was generated at the time of Dutch, where it initially meant poison while later in time the meaning was reverted. Gift means to gift someone with a product or item without expecting anything in return. In present time, we usually observe that gifts are usually exchanged on multiple occasions such as weddings, office promotion, a new born in a family, on a new job etc. However, these are just the fancy terms and there is more to it.
Gifting can be articulated as exchange of emotions or affection towards others whether it’s your mother, father, boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife. There are no limitations as emotions or love is priceless. Talking about our corporate sector, we witness that exchange of gifts is considered to be a bribery, however in many cases it is not true! The purpose is to appreciate the other person or motivate him/ her for the job.
Thus, gift is a mode of expression and portray a positive sign. As in our busy life, one cannot remain in contact with everyone so in order to build a stronger relationship, one should keep gifting!
