… okay, I want to apologies for my low activity, both with Hyunshik and Jiyoo OTL I’m not ignoring everyone or any of that sort, but I just started a new job and I’m still trying to figure out the best way to sort my life out >.< Rest assure that I’m extremely determined to keep my muses! My weekends start on Thursday so please expect me to storm down on your dis for plots and a line of my replies/prompt starters to be up by then ^^

“ your smile looks a little forced.”

Biting back a giggle, Jiyoo merely shared a knowing look with one of her closest friends. Perhaps it was harder for her to hide her aloofness as the day went on. With so many of those pointing out that she looked anything but happy or content in the current happenings. 

“I’m just hungry.” Brushing the concern away casually. “We were needed here earlier than the rest, since we’re family.” Explaining one of the many reasons why her smile has started to strain. “I suppose it’s rather unladylike of me to say, I can probably eat the whole feast if we do not get this thing going anytime soon.” Joking as she patted her friend’s hand, gesturing towards the greetings that seemed to be endlessly going on.

" your hands are freezing!"

“Oh” she lets out a surprised gasp. Their fingers brushed against each other while they were reaching for the same garment on top of one of many stalls about that day. Jiyoo pulled back with wide eyes, startled from her younger sister’s loud exclaim. 

“You’re right, I guess it is.” She said curiously as she pulled her hands closer to her. The winter had been rather unforgiving this year, but despite that everyone was still out and about all thanks to the Queen’s event. With a chuckle she offer’s her sister a warm smile, “Make sure to keep yourself warm when you run around today.”

“ was it something i said?”

Jiyoo watched with mild interest as one of the minister’s daughters went storming past her, leaving behind a baffled maiden. The princess blinked blankly, looking back and forth between the retreating figure and the one now standing next to her. 

“I honestly cannot say,” The whole area was rather loud and though she was close by, Jiyoo had not heard the previous conversation that took place between the two girls. “Perhaps, she simply wanted to retire.” Politely trying to ease the tension and bring comfort to the one who asked her. “Do not fret, come enjoy the your day.”

“ you look positively lost.”

Despite being surrounded by her beloved siblings and the rest of their relative, occasions like did make her seem a bit lost, in lack of better words. It reminds her that she was just another pawn in the chessboard of life and unlike her siblings, who she shared a father and king with. She no longer had a mother or her true brother. 

Repressing a sad sigh, instead, she offers the man a polite smile. “The palace seems a lot more alive and less intimidating.” Jiyoo’s gentle voice carrying off in a sing-song manner of speaking, “I guess it seems rather unrecognizable like this.” 

With a small bow, she bids him goodbye, “Have a pleasant evening.”

“ this calls for a drink.”

As a woman, she should not have a say in politics. In fact, she does not have a say in many matters. But limitations to her gender only made her more curious and want to push the boundaries further. As she grew older, each limitation serves up to become a challenge instead, each time one Jiyoo takes on with a bolder and cunning attitude. 

Staring passively at the Queen’s moving visage, in spite all her father’s wives, Queen Munjeong left an unsettling impression on the eldest princess of the court. Sighing to herself, Jiyoo instead chooses to turn away from the Queen’s back and gives her attention to the people instead. 

A startled gasp escapes her lips when she hears her brother call out to her, “Prince San,” allowing herself to smile gently at her sibling. Reaching out to get a hold of his arm, “I suppose it does. You’ve done well today, Commander.” Her tone teasing, though they both know she was truly proud of him. 

Despite being in a different faction and not born from the same mother, Jiyoo adored her siblings to no end. She prefers to love them for who they are as individuals, for what they have done and their treatment towards her and the people she cares for, and not for the politics behind it all. Her brothers and sisters know that best.

hello haedal fam! a warm welcome to everyone~ I’m super excited to be here and I’m sure everyone is as well ^^ with that said here are the pages for my girl, princess jiyoo ( profile, background ) unlike many of you who have been pioneers from the old-haedal (go you guys!), jiyoo is a completely new muse so she’s sort of a blank canvas. which mean it’ll be really exciting to explore her as a muse and I would love to start plotting with everyone! ( queue in please like this post for plots and all the funs )  I’ll try my best to get some plots page sorted out this weekend, by all means though, we can jump right into brainstorming or if you’ve got a spot you’d want her to fill out! aside from all that, happy rping everyone ♡♡♡

with all said and done, Jiyoo does care deeply for all her siblings through her father. being the eldest daughter of the King, she is literally everyone’s big-sister ( totally cares and acts like one too | officially dubbed as the nations big sis by both the royals and yangban clan ) 

she is a confidant of the king, to a certain extent due to his deep love for her mother, and though she can see his change of point of view politically, Jiyoo is stuck between her love for him and following her own ideas. 

she does pretty kickass embroidery uwu 

 a lot of people think she’s a pushover, but she does, in fact, pull strings behind people’s back, it has protected her and her husband from the purge many times. 

she is a strong headed, opinionated and loyal to a fault kind of person one can truly see Jiyoo’s true self into only those closest to her and even that only in private. otherwise she is a perfect chameleon in public.  [ she’s a slytherin ]

although quite adventurous, definitely the type to sneak out of the palace and explore, she does have a terrible fear of snakes and spiders alike.
