“So the Warrior yet fights on…….commendable.” He chuckled, actually impressed with the Lions and their will to continue fighting against the odds. Voltron was recorded to have been the Altean Empire’s most important, and devestating weapon, even dealing the Galra Empire devestating blows. But for it to now resurface after so many millenia……this can bode both well and ill.
“As I’ve said before, I’ve only heard rumors about the Warrior and its ressurection.” He plainly stated, locking his glowing eyes with her own. “Specific details about the Warrior and its riders are very sparse and basic in context. I tend to put such rumors off to the side with bags of salt, given how old and dubious such information can be. After all, it’s not quite coffee shop chatter, is it?”
For a while, the witch was silent, as if contemplating the old being’s answer. Her expression remained sharp for a long moment, before she opened--then snapped her mouth shut, thinking for a long moment while holding his gaze. Only rumors. No use getting into this more. Finally, she broke her gaze, a frown forming on her features as she spoke. “Indeed, it’s not.” She replied, before turning her back to him, casually walking towards the cave exit. “You’d do well to remember this conversation, then.” She glanced back at him, expression light but with an underline of, the smallest speck of, threat.

His hand, large and metal-clawed, outstretches to her, fingers unfurling and spread out at her command; he looks bored, though the expression is probably easy to mistake for stone-faced– as always.
“It serves its purpose,” he offers mutedly in response to her examination of the arm. It has been a work in progress, something better for their very best, a replacement of the arm he had lost what feels like little over a year prior. “I am unsure what you are trying to find this time, Haggar.”
Taking a closer look, the witch reaches out her hands, pressing her boney fingers against the smooth metal of his forearm. Her eyebrows knit, and she says nothing in response for a long moment, before she pulls back with a sigh. “Yesterday, a soldier sought me out, because his prosthetic’s energy burst.” That was the only explanation she has, currently. “Double checking to make sure everything is in order is a must.” Providing no further explanation, she goes back to her examination, feeling around and adding pressure to certain areas, as if she could feel passed the metal itself.

On the other side of the coin, Haxus wasn’t used to dealing with Druids either, nevermind Zarkon’s advisor. Vital though they were to the Empire’s mission, the magic users had given him the creeps ever since he was a kit. But dislike or not, he was a trained soldier, and he set his face in a mask of indifference as the door unexpectedly opened before he’d even reached for the control panel. He came to a stop several steps into the witch’s workspace and folded his hands behind his back.
“He would have been here himself, but something came up. The task was passed to me,” the saboteur replied, declining to acknowledge to her apparently less-than-pleasant mood. “He mentioned the reaction time of his prosthetic “lagging”, for lack of a better term. Has anyone else mentioned this that you know of?”
Upon confirmation of her previous assumptions, the witch turned and strolled back towards her project. “If he isn’t present, I won’t be able to make any repairs or upgrades. The excuses that Garla makes to not come here himself, how ridi-” She p a u s e d in the middle of her rambling. Turning her head, her attention was back on him. “Lagging?” Her glowing eyes narrowed in the dim light. The witch takes pride in many things, creating weapons and perfectly functioning prosthetic..but to lag? That was, truthfully, uncommon with her magic... “I haven’t had any reports of this happening before,” she grumbled, “Have you seen it react this way, or did he ONLY mention it?”

can someone explain how to cut posts now Because im used to the older tumblr where if you reblogged something you can easily just select and delete old replies to make it neat and now I can’t do that without deleting all of it?

“Well well, isn’t this an unexpected surprise.” The dragon snarled at the Druid, his amber eyes glowing in the dim light. “For what reason would one of Sendak’s minions have for coming to mine lair?”
“Sendak’s minion? Surely, you should know I work for Zarkon only.” The witch took a dew steps forward, not fazed by the snarled remark. “I’m here on business from the Empire. We’re searching for a group…” A pause. “Surely, you must have heard the news of Voltron’s awakening.”
“Ahhh……pardon the lapse of memory, I tend to forget such matters that don’t concern mineself.” He half-heartedly apologized, a yawn escaping his maw. To be quite honest, the Empire was nothing more than another annoyance to the dragon, but since they seemed to leave this planet alone, he had no quarrels with them…..yet.
“I’ve heard rumors about the warrior’s ressurection, but only that much.” He replied, now staring at the woman with curiosity. “Why, is it true then?”
The witch’s gaze rose to meet the beast’s gaze, face void of expression as she started to question, just how, the dragon could hear such rumors so recently...and yet, decided against speaking of it....yet. “Indeed, it is. Voltron has risen.” Her gaze turned sharp. “The Lions have chosen their paladins, and they chose to rebel against our empire.” Her yellow eyes narrowed slightly. “You wouldn’t happen to know anything of their whereabouts, i’m assuming?”

technically pluto’s moon and they’d have a heck of a time identifying which of the millions upon billions of humans on planet earth are personally significant to the five paladins but yes this is something i’ve considered a lot before
You know what I mean’t by pluto //sweats// And nah nah nah, Im not thinking of searching the entire planet for people they love
Im talking full on invasion, or maybe planning a huge genocide and sending it to the Paladins saying: “ur home will be destroyed if u don’t give us voltron” sort of deal.
Has anyone thought about the-- oh, I dunno, chance that the Garla Empire would invade Earth to try and break all the Paladins?
I mean come on, its not like its a “absolutely no chance”. They DID capture them on PLUTO. Meaning they could have detected the lifeforce on Earth, right?
