Just started rewatching The Mentalist (for the 2nd time, I need help!) and I don't know if it's just me but I really think they missed out on stretching out the Bosco/Lisbon storyline in S2.

Not even the romantic element of it - just think about the information we would have learnt about Libson - her as a rookie cop, seeing her growth in the CBI to senior agent leading her own team.

There are so many unanswered questions about the secret her and Bosco share - it would've been so interesting to learn more about it, what the case was, how it made her question her morals etc even down to how that makes her feel about Jane's determination to kill Red John when she knowingly helped cover up a previous crime.

I just think if they hadn't reduced the Bosco storyline to half the season, the build up and reveal of all these things would've paid off.

Also, part of me wonders how the romantic element of it would've progressed - not to say that Bosco and Lisbon would have gotten together but even just figuring out how and when he fell for her, Lisbon's reaction to knowing about it would've been so interesting to watch

I think I just need to come to terms with the fact that Criminal Minds and Criminal Minds Evolution are two separate shows. It may have some of the same characters but even their development have plateaued in the past 4 seasons.

S19 was okay but again the overarching storyline with Voit which although was a bit more interesting this season, just feels so played out at this point.

Crowley actually became a very interesting unsub and the whole "He's always been one step ahead of us" was fun to play with. Which is what made his death scene so underwhelming. You mean to tell me that a man that has been like 10 steps ahead of Voit and the BAU every time just dies that easily? It's reminiscent of last season where they built up this big bad that somehow just gets defeated so quickly.

With S20 already in production, I really do wonder what they plan to do but atp, I'm not expecting much

I'm new to the fandom (1 month post White Orchids and still crying) but like many, I'm suffering the fate of feeling empty now that it's all over 😭

I've just finished my third (fourth? probably fifth atp) rewatch of Blue Bird and wanted to know... has anyone ever written a fanfic on what could have happened if Lisbon didn't ask about the robe and Cho & Abbott didn't show up at the hotel? I am DYING to read this!

I know I'm extremely late to the party but I've just finished the s18 finale.

Tessa was the most boring 'Big Bad' and I can't believe we worked all season to her reveal for that to be it. She was discovered and caught all in one episode. Where were the twists and turns?

As much as I love Criminal Minds, I just don't know if this revival is doing what they think it's doing. This genuinely might've been the first season finale that I put off solely because I was not excited or intrigued about anything.

It feels like the most exciting thing we got was Voit's memory loss/conscious arc.

They did a whole reveal of Emily's 'sister' last season and it was never even spoken about this season. The whole network thing felt dragged out and even the so called character focus we were supposed to have on JJ and Tara this season didn't feel like much.

I'm just disappointed (and bored) tbh

Sighhh even though we knew it was coming, them killing off Will is still heartbreaking 💔

They ate initially with that scene of him though, really wasn't expecting that.

Didn't even realise it was an out of order scene until I rewatched. The gold necklace JJ is wearing when she's chatting with Henry magically disappears when she's with Will.

One thing Criminal Minds is gonna do is kill off a spouse. Poor JJ though, we really didn't have to kill Will off. Literally could have had him move away for work or something. I wonder how big of a problem Josh Stewart had with the Producers.

I'm on another Criminal Minds rewatch and it's getting to a point now where I might have to consider that maybe it was just Paget staring at Thomas this entire time.

There are so many Hotchniss moments (especially in Season 4) that seem so suggestive that if they genuinely weren't scripted, Paget must've had a crush on Thomas or something. It's constant looks upon looks and lack of personal space and I just can't believe this wasn't done intentionally.

And before anyone says it, yes, I know about the white eyelash. But I didn't realise Thomas had them all over his body, and especially on his lips cos that's where Paget's eyes always are!

this is by no means some kind of profound realization but the reason people can still stick their heads in the sand and pretend that palestinians aren’t actively facing complete genocide despite countless pieces of photo and video evidence is that arab people (and those who are assumed to be arab) are assumed to be inherently barbaric, untrustworthy, conniving, and violent. the world is okay with an entire civilization and culture being wiped out because “they must have deserved it” for fighting against colonizers. we have libraries worth of evidence that the iof is perfectly comfortable with murdering innocent civilians, but this evidence is immediately deemed as falsified or exaggerated because all arabs are liars in the mind of the genocide denier. or they must have done something to provoke having their people completely wiped out. ask yourself why you immediately determine that evidence of arab suffering is fake or justified. ask yourself why you can look at scorched, mutilated, decapitated arab bodies or watch bombs rain down on arab communities with such flippancy. no religious or ethnic group has a monopoly on suffering. unforgivable violence can be enacted by those who view themselves as perpetual victims. i genuinely implore you to take time to examine your biases and the racism that has been engrained into our culture.
