Alec is incredibly turned on by Magnus’ eyes. So we’ve all seen that make out scene like a hundred times (don’t even try to deny it - I’ve done it too!) so in the beginning it’s all playful and cute. It’s Alec nearly losing his balance when he takes off his shoes and grinning at each other when they break apart. It’s taking off Alecs clothes and making him lie down on the bed and it’s “that was graceful” and a smiled response “Shadowhunter”. It’s things Magnus has done a million times before (well, around 17 thousand times to be more accurate) and nothing that’s new to him. He knows the struggles of taking clothes off and he knows the endorphins that come with the exposed skin. BUT THEN they lie on the bed and Alec leans forward and Magnus meets him halfway. Now it’s not little kisses and joking anymore. Now it’s Alec kissing him, holding him right there and not letting go. It’s Alecs hands, slowly sliding towards Magnus hips and lifting up his shirt. Alec is careful and loving with Magnus and he’s not yet ready to let go because Alec wants to put everything he has in that kiss because he has already given everything for the man in front of him and he is not regretting, no, he’s so happy and he’d do it again and again and he wants Magnus to know and now Magnus is leaning in closer, his hands on Alecs cheeks, feeling all the love and thankfulness in his kiss, all the emotion and
