[she watches him extinguish the cigarette, and then looks back at him with narrowed her eyes] Don’t say that with such an accusing tone. [is he looking to fight? because she’s so ready to… run the fuck way] He defended me because he owed me, that’s it. [that’s how she sees it, anyway. He could have confronted his father at any point, but she saved him once, so he was returning the favor. She drops her leg from the bench and tries to step back at the same time, but stands on her own foot instead and kinda just stumbles ungracefully backward] 

An uproar? Our subjects know better. An uproar would only result in everyone being punished more harshly than they may be already. And Wrath has never had a problem figuring out ways to keep efficiency in his work. Even when he was dating that friend of yours, he still managed to get work done. [It... kind of makes him wonder how different things would be if they’d let their relationship slide. He shrugs off the thought]

Oh, no, I was simply stating facts. I hoped that you’d remember such an event. Between you and me, Stanley was surprised that Wrath stood up to him and was a little bit proud, but he never wants to happen again. If it does, he’s as good as destroyed. That’s what I’m getting at. So, relax. [When she stumbles back, he leans over and catches her with an arm. As hilarious as it would be to watch her fall, it wasn’t necessary. She’s still cute]
