I've dyed my hair black twice in the past and both times I did it faded to a light brown that's almost my natural hair color. What am I doing wrong? Why won't my hair stay black?
Box hair color is going to be a little more tricky for me to answer. I would say it could be the quality of the product you're using or it could be that your hair might have needed to be filled before you put on the black hair color. That means that you need to use a demi-permanent hair color that is about half way to the actual color you're gonna to be putting on. So if you are doing black, and you have blonde hair, you need to use a light to medium brown demi-permanent color. This will make an even toned and no stripy solid color that should last at least a month. Or another reason is your hair could be so healthy that it didn't take very well. Healthy hair is resistant to color because the color has a harder time attaching itself to the actual hair strands due to the hair follicles being closed and strong.
A creative color I did. 💖@katiemc_beauty on instagram @hairsmart

If I wanted to grow out a pixie cut but not have an awkward phase for my hair - how should I cut it? Are there styles that grow out cool?
I think that having an A symmetrical pixie style might help with the looking cooler bit while it grows out.
