Just waiting for new info to be released. I could start right now sharing what Makki-kun (Yoshihiko Aramaki, aka Reimeroku!Okita) has been tweeting, it is little, but something at least. But you guys decide, I suppose.

A message from the founder of the fancom

I'm the one that started both the blog and the LiveJournal (Hello-Bagel, formerly otometomato). When I decided to make this it was for a simple reason, sharing my love for Hakumyu. Regardless of my love for the actors (especially Hirose Daisuke), my main interest was the musical. Then the fancom started growing, more people started sharing, friendships began because of that. I was happy with what was being done. Changes were made with the cast, it was surprising, obviously. For me, it was okay, new actors to fangirl about, but some people had different opinions. Now, fast forward to today and it is announced a new myu, but what is the biggest change? All the cast is different! When I started reading the new members, I got happy. I recognized many names and thought "wow, this is going to be awesome!". At first I wanted to share my thoughts about this, how excited I was and start fangirling. But what is my surprise, when I open Tumblr, I found a lot, like A LOT of negative comments, against the changes done, wanting to do something to rectify the decision, wanting to comfort the actors (seriously?). Instead of a good feedback, it was only negativity. That instant I thought "what the fuck?". People venting out their frustrations, that motivated me to write this. What the fuck, fandom? That attitude isn't right. Wanting to comfort someone just because he has been changed? It is their job! They knew this day will come. It is surprising, yes, but placing blames on people that don't deserve it, that's sheer immaturity, in my honest opinion. I don't want this fandom to become like most of the fandoms. I expected a positive reaction. All the fans welcoming this new cast. You can vent your frustrations and rant about everything on your OWN blog, but on this blog it won't be shared. And please, cool down for a moment. Do some research on the new cast. Take a moment to swallow the news and come back later. Done.

Hey!

During break.

Speaking of,

We have safely reach the opening day of the play “Yowamushi Pedal IH-hen THE WINNER”.

Thank you to the people who came to see the performance and all the people supporting us from far away.

I am rushing headlong to the end of summer.

I will fulfill my duties as ace sprinter, wearing the No. 4 jersey for Hakone Gakuen.

I will give it my all from tomorrow on!

Also, it was announced, wasn’t it?

The Hakuouki musical performance. 

That’s right. 

The cast has completely changed.

But of course there are those in the cast continuing on to support it.

I will not be performing as Shinpachi anymore.

I am nothing but really grateful to this production called Hakuouki.

It was a production that laid the foundations for Miyazaki Shuuto the actor.

For 3 years I recklessly flew the banner of truth.

This is the greatest treasure of my life.

We are entrusting the banner we carried to the next Shinpachi actor, Ino-san and the others. 

I want him to love Shinpachi.

I want him to love the Idiot Trio.

I want him to love the Shinsengumi.

And I want him to love the Hakuouki musical.

Please.

Also, Azuma. 

He’s performing as Sanosuke and I have entrusted him to support Shinpachi’s back.

I have all the confidence in him.

It will definitely be all right!

It’s almost time for dinner.

The new musical "Hakuouki - Reimeiroku" has been set for May/June of this year. Performances once again will be in Tokyo and Kyoto. 

Sadly, it appears the Hirose Daisuke will not be returning as Okita Souji, as another tweet by Aramaki Yoshihiko announced that he would be appearing in the musical as Souji.

Hakumyu 30 Day Challenge: Day 1—> What was the first Hakuouki musical you watched? Impressions?

If my memory is correct, the first one I watched was Saitou-hen. Ironically, what grabbed my attention almost instantly was not Ryo as Saitou, but Daisuke as Okita. I remember thinking “Oh my God. It’s Okita. It’s actually Okita. He sounds like Okita and talks like him and even fights like him”. Overall, my first impression was very positive; I was in awe at how good the casting choice was, I really liked the fight scenes, I adored how they showed the romance. And of course, I really enjoyed the singing and songs, and was surprised at how well it worked with the plot. By the end, I was absolutely hooked and I wanted more.
