The yelp which emits from Seto caused his cheeks to curve into a lopsided grin. When he purposely sought for a reaction, the other male really delivered. Kuroha didn’t have to put much effort into getting a response from him at all. Unfortunately for Seto, he was going to be the snake’s t a r g e t. He hadn’t been informed that they’d be out, and Kuroha spent hours on end sitting around and doing nothing, waiting for one of his favorites to come along.
He finally gave up on it, and now he had found out they weren’t here. It was annoying. Seto wasn’t on the top of his list to bother either ( mainly because he was so predictable that it got boring faster than he liked ). It was very easy to tell Kuroha was in a really GREAT mood as a result.
“No, that’s really how they are.” He didn’t release his hold on the strap. In fact, he probably had held it firmly in his hand. “Yours is a lot better than whatever her name is but still I don’t understand why you have these.” He gave the strap another tug but a lot more light than his initial. If he had known Ayano was the one to give these to them, he would have much done more to make fun.
“Gosh, I might actually want to prevent you from doing a thing, or PERHAPS I do let you cook but slide in something which will make it taste god awful!” he couldn’t help but chuckle at the thought. “Don’t you think that’d be fun?”
HE figured that he wouldn’t even bother to let go judging from the grin plastered on his lips. As much as he wanted to avert his gaze, he settled against it as there was a part of him that didn’t want to give into his toying. Though his smile was slightly dimming the more the other continued on with his ... provoking. ❝ Ahaha ... well, I guess I just feel comfortable in these ? It’s something I’ve had for awhile so, you know. ❞
Almost as an act of defiance, he gently wrapped his fingers around the hand, grasping onto his strap and he made an attempt to draw it away. ❝ But uh, come on. Mary’s probably going to be starving when she gets back. But if something does go wrong, we can always remake it. ❞
Come to think of it, this was the first time in awhile in which he forced a smile. It honestly made him uneasy but he didn’t want to give Kuroha the benefit of the doubt. It wouldn’t do any good to give him what he wanted nor would treating the other as anyone less. So all he had to do was be patient, and smile. After all, Mary trusted him enough to introduce him to everyone so surely, he wasn’t that bad ?
