To girls who like girls,

Liking girls isn’t cute photos together, perfect hair, perfect skin, and “swag”. I feel like social media has put this type of relationship goals up for queer women. You don’t have to look a certain way, you don’t have to dress a certain way, you don’t have to be a certain weight. Those should not be your goals. It is important to have people to look up to and a lot of the people that we have to look up to look a certain way and seem to live such a glamorous life that might make the rest of us feel bad if we aren’t living the same way they are, or look the same way they look. Your goals should be to be happy, and with someone who loves you just as much as you love them. The people that you look up to are amazing but there seems to be so many types of girls that like girls brushed off and pushed aside from mainstream media. Girls who like girls are the girls you see in the streets and the girls you sit next to on the bus and the girls you go to school with. Girls who like girls are average girls like you, they aren’t all “tumblr” girls.
