Not related but important to mention none the less about SF
I have to air my grievances when it comes to the Space Funeral Gamejolt community, the mods are shit, I know them both, and they do nothing to promote the post from other users into feature, that’s a bunch of bullshit and I’d like CROS to add more mods, newer ones so more posts get feature, I know it’s a dead as fuck community, but what’s the deal with not even featuring the new posts so at least there’s a little more engagement.
I would like to formally reply to this statement:
For starters, me and other members of the community have been reffered to in very vulgar manners, included in this post here. I would like to ask you to keep discussion civil and respectful as to enable a way to fix issues together. There have been a large number of harrassments coming from you directed towards other individuals who never harmed you in any way and it has been very distressing. Please, chease to seek out to harm us further.
Now, to get to the community: I am one of the mods, and while the community is a very small and, therefore, slow one, me and the other mods are always happy to encourage new products, such as fanart, fangames, videos or music, that would provide enjoyment to fans of Space Funeral. The Space Funeral gamejolt community is not in any way associated with thecatamites, or Space Funeral itself other than being a community of fans for fans, so we desire to keep it a peaceful place as to nurture enjoyment for what the community has built. Here we come to the legacy of fangames: games that continue the story of Space Funeral by providing new adventures related to the world. We are always happy to see fangames that pay respect to the original creator, the original concept, and the fans. If any of these criteria isnt met, and the game assumes an aggressive tone to any of those points, it’s not something that adheres to our philosophy (satire or irony is one thing, offensive material is another). Another issue is if a game is advertised as a fangame but is radically different: this would be considered a game “inspired” by the orginal product instead of being a direct fangame.
About featured posts: whenever a new post is made in the community it is put in the “all posts” category, where it can be found under the two tags of “hot” or “new”. If a mod finds one of the posts there to be especially interesting, they can feature it as to make it appear in the front page. This is how I moderate the posts:
A post is more likely to be featured if: -it contains interesting, space funeral related content (fanart, videos) -it is a space funeral fangame And it must respect the users, the original creator, the original game (note: respect doesnt mean it has to agree or that it has to like all of the points, but if disagreed it must be expressed in a civil manner) A post is less likely to be featured if: -it is an advertisment for a person project that doesn’t have a lot to do with space funeral -it is a space funeral-inspired project -it is ambiguous or written confusingly -it contains swear words or other forms of disrespectful material
A post is never going to be featured and may be removed if: -it poses threats to others -it is aimed to harm others -it is spam -it contains harmful material -other content that doesn’t follow gamejolt rules Previously to the events related to your post, another post of yours containing a meme caused trouble as you repeatedly deleted innocent comments that never intended to harm you but were rather civil responses to the meme. That already made me wary of your behaviour. The reason why your post wasn’t featured by me at first is because it seemed to not be a space funeral fangame but rather space funeral -inspired. When it was judged to be more than that by another mod it was featured. After that, I became aware of a post of yours offending me personally and my games:
You later removed after people started interacting with it, and you were deleting their comments.
You then attacked someone else and tagged CROCS in an attempt to look like the victim
This post too was deleted.
You have now deleted the posts of your harrassment but proof still stands.
Taking this in consideration, I decided to remove your post from the community, as it was only going to attract more hatred and harrassment from you.
In your latest gamejolt post you decided to play the role of the victim once again.
In all of this, we never intended to harm you, as all we ever did was adhere to rules. Alas, your behaviour has broken many rules, many times.
EDIT: However, newpaperradson , if you apologize to everyone who was involved in this, and decide to change your behaviour to be respectful, mature and civil, there would be no problems with advertising your game on the space funeral community.
space funeral is a hell of a trip
This is magnificent 😍
