Angela's new at Smosh.
"You were fucking fantastic. You crushed it."
Before Angela can respond, Amanda has already pulled her into a very tight hug.
She lets out a small "Oh" and then a nervous chuckle: "Thanks! Thanks, man, yeah, you were, like, freaking amazing. Thank you for hyping me up."
When Amanda lets go of her, she's smirking: "Sorry, was that okay? I'm kind of a touchy person."
"Oh, yeah, no! Totally okay, I like hugs."
Amanda's still smiling when she puts a hand on Angela's shoulder: "You're gonna do great here, I can tell. And hey, if you ever need anything, you can always come to me, okay?"
Angela lets out a shaky breath and just returns Amanda's smile, not sure what to say.
"I'll see you later! Gonna get some coffee from the kitchen. Oh, you want anything?"
"No-I'm good, thanks! Thanks, though."
Amanda gives her a thumbs-up and they part ways, and Angela tries not to think about the strange feeling in her stomach for the rest of the day.
The feeling doesn't leave, though.
Instead, it gets stronger every time Amanda's near.
And even more so when Amanda starts gently touching her whenever she's around. Resting her head on her shoulder, putting her arm around her waist, even just hugging her again.
Angela's not bothered by her doing this, not at all. After all, Amanda is the same with their other friends! Actually, she learns very soon that Amanda's known for often giving hugs!
Which means that Angela definitely isn't special. Even when Amanda reaches for her hand under the table during shoots and intertwines their fingers, when she asks if Angela's okay with being kissed on the forehead.
Even when Amanda catches her eye from across the room, the same look of admiration in her eyes as on the first time they met and Angela looks back at her the same way, she's convinced of it.
After all, lots of friends make out in the bathroom during lunch! Amanda's just a touchy person. She told her that the first time they met, after all.
