I was born in Vietnam, I grew up in Vietnam, and I love my country. And yes, I am a socialist by logic. I am sort of fluent in English but I will surely make grammatical mistakes here and there. Many typos, too.

This blog was made by me to post about any nerdy things that I love, preferably about DC and my favorite characters, Hal Jordan, Dick Grayson and Billy Batson. There will be art, some random ranting, character study, snippets, drabbles and just shitposts in general.

Oh and I am a 'traditional' person, in the sense that I am absolutely AGAINST censorship and purity culture in fandom space. I do not think fictional characters have rights or can be hurt. And I absolutely loathe any harmful actions done to real people because of fictional characters. Please don't engage with me if you believe fictional lives are worth more attention, time, and compassion than actual humans' lives. ☆ BruHal/BatLantern is the main focus of this blog ☆

BUT anything else is still free game, including GuyHal, JohnHal, KyleHal, SuperLantern, etc.

I am an open-minded person and I like both vanilla, cute and nuanced, toxic ships all the same.

Some notes on my writing: I like to explore, that means expect anything, the only constant is that Hal Jordan will be bottom in everything I write. There's no logic or reason behind it, I saw that pathetic brunette with commitment issues and next thing I know, I'm getting baby trapped by him.

One day, a girl appears in front of Bruce Wayne claiming to be his daughter. Who is the mother? And who is she really? The Robins get involved and the truth slowly prevails, along with the dreadful truth behind the little girl's existence and her creator.

✧ To get that child support (related) Oneshot. Romcom. No angst. The gag version of "To Cage a star", probably the fic everyone thought they would get when they clicked on to Cage a Star.

WIP. ABO. Explicit sex scenes. Dubcon. Pregnancy sex.

Hal is an omega trying to hide his secondary gender. The Government wants to force omegas into a marriage. The solutions? Marry your coworker. But nothing really goes Hal's way.

Hal is an actual angel. He forgot to mention that fact to Bruce before getting married.

Oneshot. Romcom. Secret relationship reveal.

Bruce and Hal's friends and family receive an unexpected wedding invitation from the two of them. But they are supposed to hate each other, right?

✧ Be careful with your house key 

WIP. Romcom. Secret marriage reveal (I'm seeing a pattern here)

Hal climbed into his shared penthouse with Bruce, his husband. His secret marriage with the Bat got aired out to everyone to see.

✧ We're friends with benefits, right?

Completed. 5/5 chapters. Romcom.

Hal is confused whether he's truly Batman's FwB or not. He's not. He's Bruce's wifey and the mother of his children; he just doesn't know it yet. (Bruce's the actual dumb one here)

✧ An unfair trade. Oneshot. Soulmate AU. A little angst but HE.

The prompt: You can only see colours where your soulmate has been.

Hal has flown through the galaxies, where no other human has been while Bruce can only offer various shades of gray and some radioactive green.

✧ Will Hal Jordan be flying today? WIP. BruHal, one-sided KyleHal and Jason&Kyle. Dead dove. Hal has gained the habit of lobotomizing himself recently. Bruce tries to help. Both Jason and Kyle try to entangle themselves into the matter. They all make each other worse. ✧ Soulmates, secrets, and kisses

Robin discovers that his soulmate is Captain Marvel, unfortunately. He is rather unamused by it.

Definitely not to brag, but me, my sister, my uncle, my best friend, and my buddy who is the LCS owner, are some of the MOST well-read people I know.

If there’s a literary classic, either historic or contemporary, English language or translated, I can guarantee you that at least 2 or 3, if not ALL of us have read it. And those folks ARE my irl comics community.

My uncle minored in English lit, my bestie majored in ethnomusicology, I have degrees in opera and neuroscience, my sister has a masters degree in music history, and my buddy has a masters in psychology.

All of us have published research papers or had articles published in literary and scholarly journals. Two of us are members of literary writers’ salons, and one of us regularly writes scripts for indie animation.

Humble brag over— point being!! Reading “real literature” will not make you love comics less, and whoever said that is spouting elitist nonsense. Comic geeks (generally speaking!) are smart and well-read.

Being a DC fan in actuality is really fucking funny because you’ll mostly stay in your own corner with passing knowledge on other characters and then sometimes discourse you’ve never heard of pops up on your dash about another subset of DC and when you click on it it’s apparently an argument that’s been going on for 20+ years and has divided the entire character tag, had 3 writers fired, forced DC editorial to step in only to get lashed off the internet, led to 7 fist fights and also Batman is There. As my family were eating out, my dad suddenly said that his shirt was too hot material-wise and stuff

I was going to tell him that maybe he should start buying shirts that were like, 10$ and made from actual good material instead (also because he ALSO wears clothes that cost 2$ each and refuses to let them crumble into dust)

And THEN he said something that I quote, "I should contact a tailor to make me a new one. The new tailor lady's craftmanship was not good enough, I should call my fav tailor, he knew my measurements."

And I stared at him like, ??? since when did our family have tailors?

But then it kinda hit me that we do have "favourite tailors", I just do not.

(Tailored clothes are not that expensive in Vietnam. It's a little more expensive than mass-produced clothes but not too much that it's basically inaccessible to the middle class and below like in some countries)

Sometimes my past (my Zeus x Ares fanfic from Hades the game) comes back to haunt me (new comments) and I lie awake at night (studying German) thinking where I went wrong (I started writing that fanfic to better my English writing why am I studying German now that's like 3 levels of language ever since)
