julessomersetâ:
Juliana simply smiled and nodded, she had all the patience and time in the world to help her sister overcome her problems. Even if it took them years to do it at all, she would never give up and she would never go anywhere. âWell, will see what this crazy week brings, right? There seems to never be a dull moment in this city.â She said looking out the window, even when it was dark the life seemed to be alive.Â
âIt wasnât bad, it was actually kinda nice to speak to him, this better version of himself he has become. I am happy he overcame everything.â She said bittersweetly. âI was just a bit scared of him being so close to Jace and I was a bundle of nerves. It made me actually feel the weight of my actions and choices. I suppose this city is a lot smaller than we think huh?â She laughed at the statement. Destiny was a cruel thing.Â
Hallie was lucky to have Juliana in her life. Though all of her siblings wanted the best for her and did what they could to help, no one was able to do it quite like her older sister. Ever since they were children, sheâd been there to help Hallie, even in the worst of situations. Her eyes wandered away from her sister, a small nod following, and a faint smile on her lips. Hopefully she was right, that someone would want to hire her eventually, even if it wasnât for acting.
When she started talking about Jax, Hallieâs eyes once again focused on Juliana, wanting to know everything. âBetter?â She asked, disbelief in her voice. Though it took everything in her not to completely bash her sisterâs ex, Hallie managed to keep her thoughts to herself, allowing her sister to continue. âWell, I still think itâs good you left him. Heâs - well, after what he did to you, thereâs no way someone like that could ever just change.â At her next comment, Hallie let out a laugh in agreement. Since sheâd been back, there were so many old friends - and some non-friends - who sheâd run into, even if she tried to keep her presence in the city a secret. âI swear it took way longer than just five minutes to get from the old house to the office.â She joked, though as a kid it often felt twice as long.
loganstrattonâ:
The article on his phone was far more interesting to Logan than what was in front of him, though from the corner of his eyes, he caught a glimpse of an item on the ground before propelling himself to stop. He picked it up and gave the person in front of him a whistle, assuming it was theirs. âHey, I think this belongs to you.â
Her initial reaction to the whistle that came from behind was an eye roll. However, as she turned to face the man, her keys dangled from him fingers, âOh my gosh.â She said, taking the keys from him and throwing them back into the mess inside her bag. âI just couldnât find my phone and they must have fallen out when I was going through everything. Youâre a life saver.â
gaboremilâ:
âCats?â he repeated blankly, his eyebrows lifting. He shook his head. He thought it would be easier and more specific for her to describe what her siblings were wearing. âWhat are their names?â he tried again. Hopefully they werenât to nondescript.Â
The manâs response to the shirt Hallie had described was similar to her own when sheâd first seen the shirt on her brother. It was ridiculous, but he was the type of person who could pull it off. âJuliana, Ryan, and Wyatt. Uh, Copeland. Thatâs our last name.â

Astrid had been crouched in the doorway for almost two hours, her camera in hand, waiting for the person she was tailing to finally exit the restaurant. The door finally opened and a instinctually she snapped the photo, completely forgetting that her external flash was still attached to the camera until it had lit up the street and the person sheâd taken a photo of.
â Shit, sorry, â She called out to them, standing and waving a gloved hand. â Thought you were someone else. â
The meeting with her manager had been quick, barely useful as there hadnât been any change of her reputation in the eyes of the world. To them, she was still the reckless party girl who was a hazard to any set she walked onto. And so, after just twenty minutes of talking and trying to figure out their next move, Hallie found herself exiting the restaurant. Sheâd barely made it out of the door before a flash went off - typical, she thought. Of course the paparazzi had followed her here. Though the apology was something unusual for the media obsessed photographers. Hallie stopped in place, turning to the female, âNo, youâre good. I - uh, well, Iâm use to it.â
kianhendrixâ:
Kian shut her eyes tightly at the sound of lighting crash and the wind almost throwing them away, the sky illuminating a bright light before turning back to cloudy darkness. Her features softened at her words though she was still eager to get the both of them somewhere safe and far away from the beach. âN-no⌠I canât find Abel or Milo either.â she said, fumbling on her words, the uneasiness in the pit of her stomach never settling. âIâm sure theyâre inside, somewhere safe.â she ushered the last as she looked over to where the rest of the crowd was, walking towards shelter and somewhere safe before turning back to her friend. âCome on, we gotta get out of here.â Kian pleaded, tugging on her arm a little.
The crash of thunder caused Hallie to instinctively flinch towards Kian, subconsciously searching for protection from the older woman - something she would have done with her sister. She wanted to keep searching the beach, but it was almost useless by now, as the storm was growing and the sky was getting increasingly dark. When Kian admitted that she couldnât find her own siblings, Hallie felt a mix of emotions - part of her was relived to hear that she wasnât the only one, which might have meant she was overreacting, but part of her only grew more worried, knowing that there was always a high risk of fatalities during storms like these. However, she simply nodded at Kianâs plea to get out of the storm, her arm wrapping around the brunetteâs to ensure she wouldnât loose her either, âOkay.â
scarlett-blackwellâ:
Scarlett left the window of her room open, feeling the cool air come off the water. She could smell the rain that would be coming soon and in the distance, she could still hear the music being played at the bonfire, which she decided to skip in order to catch up with some work and her Netflix shows. The light rain quickly kept building and building until it was howling loudly. The winds increased and increased and she could start hearing trees bending over and branches breaking off. Â Barely able to stand up, she managed to close the window before spotting the figure of someone outside. Fighting against the wind, she opened the door. âWhat are you doing?â she shouted at her. âGet inside,â she commanded.
The wind was strong, but her will was stronger, and so Hallie did her best to fight the winds in order to search for her siblings. She had tried to get in contact with them by text, but each message popped up with a ânot deliveredâ notification. As the panic took over, her mind stopped thinking rationally, and instead told her to do exactly what she was doing now, despite the potential danger of the storm. It wasnât until she heard the voice of a woman near by that she snapped back to reality, the wind fighting against her and rain beating against her skin. Hallie looked at the woman, then back towards the beach, before deciding that searching in this weather wouldnât do her any good. A frustrated sigh escaped her, but she yielded to her senses and made her way towards the woman.
damonduboisâ:
Taking in everything Hallie had to offer, Damon couldnât help but feel his grin widen. âYeah, I believe so. Definitely still in high school, thatâs for sure.â He said with a chuckle before continuing on. âItâs great to see you. Howâve you been?â He questioned before realizing who he was talking to. She was a famous actress who had a lot on her plate or so he assumed, so he prepared himself to say goodbye sooner rather than later. âIf youâre not busy, iâd love to catch up, but if you got things to do, itâs all good.â
Hallie shook her head in disbelief that it had been so long since they were walking the halls of their high school on the upper east side. Though she had only attended the school for two years, they were some of the best years of her life, and her friends were some of her closet - though she had grown up alongside most of them, Damon included. âIâve been good, busy, but good.â His question seemed to indicate that he hadnât followed the media surrounding her too closely, and part of her was thankful for that, though she knew the moment would come when sheâd have to admit to him that âgoodâ wasnât quite the best word to describe the past few years. âActually, Iâve got quite a bit of free time.â She said, a half smile growing on her lips, âIâm actually back in New York for a while.â
julessomersetâ:
âI personally feel like the only one here judging you is, well you.â She looked at her sister with lovingly adoring eyes, the way she had always looked at her. There was a warm to her that would only come out when she looked at her sister. âI know not to push, but Iâm not going to get tired of telling you this. Its twenty eighteen, Halls, people know addiction is a sickness not a choice. And you should try until someone isnât a total wimp and takes a shot at your amazing talent. But that is that, not more of the topic if you so wish to.âÂ
Juliana bit on her lip as she recalled the moment in her mind for a lingering moment. âIts not like he gave me much choice. I was eating with the kids when he approached me, if I had been alone I wouldâve probably made a run for it. ButâŚâ She smiled, a smile that if her judgement wasnât clouded by her sadness she knew it meant trouble. âIt wasnât bad at all, definitely not how I ever pictured coming across with him, then again I never really thought I would come across him in general. I didnât even knew he was based in New York, did you?â She asked.Â
As usual, Julianaâs words are sensible and convincing. Maybe she was the only one holding herself back. Ever since her relapse, sheâd been terrified of returning to her old life - to acting again, for fear that she might end up in the same place she had before. Hence why she had moved back to New York, rather than heading back to Hollywood for another shot. âYeah,â She nodded, eyes shifting to the ground as she fiddled with the hem of her shirt. âMaybe Iâll stop by sometime this week and see.â It was unlikely she would, but the thought was there at least.
She listened intently as her sister gave a quick recap of what happened with Jax. After everything he did to Juliana, Hallie couldnât stand the thought of him, still holding a grudge against him for his actions. She couldnât believe he actually had the audacity to attempt to talk to Juliana after all this time, especially when she was with the kids. A disgusted look crossed her face for a moment, before fading into a guilty one, âI mean, Iâd heard things here and there that he was in there area, but I didnât think you would ever run into him.â
gaboremilâ:
At last, Emil was able to rip the material of his jeans away from the splinters of the driftwood, and he was able to lurch to his feet, albeit gracelessly. He tested his weight on his ankle and didnât detect any pain. âYes, yes, I am fine,â he said. He glanced around. âWho are you looking for?â he asked. âMaybe if you tell me what they were wearing, I could help.â And find Millie in the process.
When he confirmed that he wasnât injured, a sigh of relief escaped Hallie, she wouldnât have known what to do to help him, and probably would have only made the whole situation worse. âMy siblings.â She admitted, though er cheeks blushed red with embarrassment as she realized what the answer to his question was, âI, uh, well, I donât know what theyâre wearing. The oldest is probably wearing something sensible, and the youngest - Iâd keep an eye out for something ridiculous like cats with laser eyes or those stupid left and right sharks.â
scfiasantiagoâ:
Sofia hadnât expected the storm â probably like no one else had expected it. The thing was, she didnât have much to lose, and it was almost fascinating to watch the storm crash against the shore. She was glued to the spot momentarily; just long enough to see a woman rushing towards the beach. âHey. Hey!â, Sofia called out, running towards her to stop her. âYou should run away from the storm, not into it.â
She should have expected this. Running in the opposite direction of the crowd was bound to draw attention to her, and so, when someone came running behind her, trying to get her to stop, Hallie wasnât surprised, âRight. Right, yeah.â She nodded, knowing that what she was doing was absolutely crazy. âIâm just trying to find my siblings - and I - I guess I wasnât thinking.â She admitted, running a hand through her hair, which had become scattered by the wind.
n-popeâ:
âAlright, best of luck!â They yelled out, about to walk away before they hesitated. âFor fucks sake, conscience, today is the day you want to make an appearance?â They mumbled to themselves before turning around, jogging after the young woman as she kept walking. âOkay, look, whether I know your name or not, now I canât get the idea of my head of you floating off in the storm. Though statistically speaking, and my stats are purely based on all the natural disaster movies Iâve seen, youâre better off with me than alone. I think. I mean Iâve mostly watched the Day After Tomorrow a lot, though Twister is a classic,â they rambled, clearing their throat as they realized now was not the time. âEither way. Who are you looking for? Whatâs their name? Four eyes is better than two, right?â
Once the other finally left her alone, Hallie continued her search for her family. Sure, it was dangerous, but the panic had overcome her mind and caused her to stop thinking rationally all together. If they were inside, then someone would have texted her, right? She would know they were safe because theyâd be telling her they were safe. She continued walking for a moment, alone with just her thoughts, before she heard the same voice speaking to her again. âThanks for the thought, but please, I donât need someone to pretend to save the day - or whatever it is youâre doing.â Hallie had survived plenty of natural disasters, growing up on the east coast with hurricanes, living in California for years with earthquakes and forest fires, sheâd seen it all - more than just on a movie screen. When it became obvious that the other wasnât leaving, she shook her head slightly, but answered the question, âMy siblings. I donât know if Juliana is here or not, but sheâs the smart one. However, my brothers - theyâre typical boys. And the younger one tends to - well, do the same thing I am right now ...â
gaboremilâ:
As the storm rolled in, Emil was immensely grateful that heâd left Lucas at home with his grandparents, but he had to find Millie. As he took off at a run, someone else slammed into him from behind, causing his ankle to catch on a piece of driftwood as he went down. He cried out in a mixture of surprise and pain, hitting the ground hard. As he hunched over to inspect his ankle â it didnât seem to be broken, or even twisted â he realized his pants were torn and caught on the edges of the driftwood. And then he heard someone pelting toward him. âHey!â he cried out, sure they hadnât seen him. âWatch out!â
Hallieâs eyes were scanning the crowds, never once breaking their search for her siblings - especially not to look at what was on the ground. Over the screams and panic of the other visitors, she heard one voice that seemed to be closer than the distant screams and almost directed towards her specifically. After a moment, her eyes snapped towards the ground where the man was trying to keep her from tripping over him. âOh shit.â She said, stopping just before him. âAre you okay?â Though the concern was in her voice, her eyes still flickered up to the crowd in hopes of catching sight of at least one of her siblings.Â
n-popeâ:
âUh..hello..are you trying to die?â Noel almost hadnât stopped as they made their way up the beach, already typing away on their phone to let their team know they wouldnât be back as they expected. Sure it pushed their shooting schedule back substantially and as royally pissed at mother nature as they were right now, there wasnât much they could do. âWhatever youâre looking for, the last thing thatâs gonna be helpful is you walking around this beach like youâre superman. You should probably get inside, youâll find what youâre looking for. But hey, do it what you please. Just..donât tell me your name cause if you get swept away then Iâll actually take it personally and start to feel bad.â
When Hallie set her mind on something, she wouldnât stop until she reached it - or until it was clear she was just wasting her time trying to reach it. The otherâs words caused her to stop in her tracks, considering the possibility for a moment. She had been close to the entrance of the building before she started searching the beach - if any of her siblings passed by, she would have seen them. At least, that was her logic. Turning towards the person as they typed on their phone, Hallieâs words came out slightly more aggressive than sheâd meant, âThen I wonât tell you my name and you can just keep on going.â She pointed in the direction of the rest of the crowed, then turned back, and started down the beach once again.
kianhendrixâ:
Kian didnât pay much attention to the weather update though when the clouds started to roll in and everything became uncomfortably dark, she started to panic just a little bit. She had somehow lost sight of her siblings, and even her friends that were with her just a second ago. She did a quick scan over the crowd, the panic setting in quicker as she didnât recognise a familiar face, though quickly took a grab of Hallieâs arm once she saw the female. âHallie, what the hell are you doing?â she hissed, giving the female a small squeeze, scared that if she let go, sheâd lose her. âAre you trying to get yourself killed?â
As she pushed her way through the people hoping to catch sight of at least one of her siblings, Hallie felt a hand grab her. She hoped that she would turn to see her sister or even one of her brothers, but she turned to see Kian staring at her. Though she was glad to see her friend was okay, her mind was still telling her to go find her family. Her voice was shaky and quick as she answered, attempting to form a completely sentence, âI donât - I canât find them.â There was a pause as the strong wind whistled through the air loudly, âHave you seen Jules? Is she here?âÂ
heytheredelilah-buchananâ:
Lila would not say she was a particularly courageous personânot in the traditional sense. But she did have a strong sense of compassion and loyalty, so when she noticed the blonde woman heading toward the storm, she hadnât thought twice to go run after her. âHey! Waitâdonât, donât run toward the storm!â Lila screamed, following her toward the beach. After a moment or two, she caught up with the blonde. âAre you wildâdude, thereâs a storm coming. What are you doing?â
She hadnât heard the womanâs initial attempt to get her attention, not over her own thoughts or the screams of the other people on the beach. But as soon as the other woman had caught up enough for her words to be heard, Hallie slowed, only slightly, listening to her. The question was a good one - what was she doing? The answer, however, was simple, âI canât - I donât know where my family is.â Sure, she sounded like a child who had lost her mother, but she couldnât just leave without them. Finally, she turned to face the person who had chased her down the beach, the same question lingering on her lips, but going unsaid.
