Okay; /this/ I'm okay with posting/don't care if this escapes confinement:
I need that trombone major who makes fun of literature majors post
because that's the energy when someone makes yet another tired Krille (who actually had a completed arc and a pretty significant one) irrelevant joke and I look at their favorites and one of them is like...friggin Hien (who...didn't really have an arc?) to give an example.

PEACE & HAPPINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(available as a sticker at upcoming cons and in my shop!!)
That's also what I don't get about Wuk Lamat hate. The complaint that she was overused. Like the narrative didn't set up that we were going to be going through the New World and aiding her in the rite of succession. Doesn't mean we weren't ever going to be a candidate for the throne we had no stake in. She sought us out and fought beside us and brought us to aid in her claim. At what point in the succession where she was central and there to help in the first place was she suppose to just fuck off and do nothing around a corner or off screen. Did they want her to just have her hand and send us out to complete the trials or something? Of course she'd of been around for like 92% of it all. And after she did rule the throne besides Koana. It was described that he would be better managing the logistics and negotiations for when Alexandria occupied the air space. While she went to meet with Zoraal Ja and Sphene personally. Which was her job as Vow of Resolve. Fighting a sudden war on two fronts. And then she promises Sphene the Eternal to see her people through to a future they can be happy with so of course she's there for Post stuff. And when we were in Shaaloni she was away doing meetings and figuring out the future of her rule before Zoraal Ja barged in.
People made a story she is actually instrumental and essential to is like watching if people had gotten mad at Estinien being around for 92% of the Heavensward he was.
been seeing a lot of gulool ja ja posting recently and haven't seen anyone with the same take i had (which makes me think i'm probably way too out in left field lmao) so i figured i'd share it just for the sake of discussion!
it's been pointed out a lot that gulool ja ja was kind of like the turali version of our wol, and combining that with the fact that we had just wrapped up the first major story arc and are heading into a new chapter with this expac, it caused me to view him not so much as a character, but as a lens with which to reflect on wol's journey and legacy so far.
after all, both gulool ja ja successfully united their respective continents, got everyone to put aside their differences and work together in common cause, and brokered an unprecedented peace between disparate peoples who had been in conflict for generations, ushering in a new era of peace and cooperation. and now, our respective journeys at an end, wol is moving on to a new adventure while gulool ja ja plans to entrust his legacy to a new generation.
and to me the overwhelming feelings i had were... what will wol's legacy be like when we're not around anymore? will the peace we helped to build in eorzea endure when we've passed on and entrusted our legacy to others? what will it imply about wol's chances if gulool ja ja fails and his kingdom plummets into war and discord?
i didn't come up with any solid conclusions to any of this, and obviously based on the nature of the game we probably will never find this out unless we wind up doing a storyline where we time travel to the future or something similar. but i couldn't help but mull it over throughout the entirety of the first half of the expac--and at certain points in the second half as well. to me he's the personification of the themes of legacy and remembrance, so it kind of feels like missing the point to me when people say he's not flawed enough or that his reign isn't believable. the point isn't really that he's a benevolent king who rules No Problems Kingdom (which we know doesn't Really have no problems). the point is that that's oomf. he's us looking back at ourselves and asking us to think about what we've accomplished for eorzea, and how much of it will outlast our lifetime
I'm just gonna use this bingo card to reply to bad takes about Dawntrail from now on.
My 4 Heroes of Light's Inventories
Something I wanted to create for character building fun since I don't exactly have the spoons to make some big celebratory piece for the upcoming Dawntrail.
No additional notes on Nina other than surprise that I couldn't find an official asset of the Azem Crystal on its own.
Nina's ability to be comfortable setting up camp just about anywhere is tragically due to her constantly going to and fro Ul'dah's outer wall and Little Ala Mhigo; fighting off whatever monsters and pests she has to.
(I can't believe I forgot to put Olbiene's White Mage Soul Crystal here lol)
Olbiene's minimal life style can be attributed from her time underground when she is back in the Shroud. She isn't really big on food - getting her joys quietly carving or gathering.
(with the way I drew WOL!Ringo; I'm not beating the Shirou Emiya allegations; I'm turning myself the fuq in)
If you're wondering if Ringo ever accepted Caladbolg from Sidurgu - the answer would actually be no; he didn't want to separate such a precious sword from him.
That being said; one of their 'dad arguments' did involve Ringo suggesting they give Caladbolg to Rielle; an argument so heated even Aymeric could hear from his office.
Hilariously it dawned to me that Loyoyu is the least suitably dressed for Tural's assumed climate but that'll be a challenge he is quite ready to take on in the name of fashion.
The other 4's Inventories
(wanted to experiment with posing so pardon some wonkiness-)
Helpful's strength is proven by the fact that he isn't afraid to just detach the pack from his belt and throw it at someone to knock them down.
To clarify here: Wuve does indeed carry all her items in the insides of her coat; she has a lot of pockets; hidden or otherwise.
Forgot to mention; Ganzorig just wears the default Au Ra harness dyed Lilac Purple (sans humongous shoulder pad) underneath all the layers of his Sky Pirate's Maiming outfit.
Couldn't find quality rips of the Performance Action icons for Matilda's page here.
Matilda does not only find someway to access her many outfits but she also has numerous outfits for her party members.
