What was the Chainsaw Originally invented for?
The first chainsaw was invented by two doctors in the year 1780. The chainsaw is invented mainly for the purpose for help with childbirth and not to cut woods. At the time of delivery, the baby stuck in the pelvis and can't able to pass through the canal some part of the pelvis would be removed using the chainsaw before the cesarean section was invented. Because of the large size of the baby, it struggles to pass through the birth canal so in order to remove the pelvic bone easily and less time consuming two doctors invented the chainsaw. The original chainsaw is powered by a hand crank and it is mainly invented to assist the childbirth. Before the use of the cesarean section, all the babies are passed through the birth canal. The process of removing the pelvis bone to make more space for the baby to come out using a chainsaw is called symphysiotomy.
Evolution of chainsaw
The procedure was done using a small knife and saw to remove the bone and without giving an aesthesia the woman should go through all the heavy pain at the middle of the childbirth. After the invention, if chainsaw this process becomes easy and less scary then it looks like a medical tool. Later this chainsaw is used for other bone cutting operation. Then it evolved to the wooden cutting tool because of its easy and quick process to cut any kind of materials. It is designed as larger as and more powerful than before to cut heavy wood and trees. Symphysiotomy is no performed nowadays due to many advanced technologies has invented in all the field ultimately in the medical field. Thus the chains are nowadays used for cutting timber wood, trimming the lobs and to cut any types of hard material to make it smaller.
