The ASEAN Film Festival, an event to showcase 10 talented screen works from ASEAN member countries, will be held from November 27 to December 4, 2014, at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul (MMCA Seoul). Being the first of its kind, it will be a special opportunity to watch a number of international films, including from Indonesia, Laos, and many other Southeast Asian countries, as well as to share in the commemorative events for the 25th anniversary of the dialogue relations between ASEAN and Korea. Most of the films featured at this festival present everyday lives and love stories of the ASEAN people. Various genres are prepared and each film is played with the original audio in its native language, in addition to displaying Korean and English subtitles. Watching the films included in the official program is free of charge, although visitors will still need to pick up a ticket, distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis at the festival venue. All films are open to the public, except for the opening ceremony, which is by invitation only.
