I made the choice to participate in a "bootcamp" style Full Stack Web Developing program because I really wanted the tools to create an app that will help artists succeed in their businesses. Artists have been the most influential people around me my whole life, and in fact my parents both are artists (and educators). In July, my dad, a renaissance man, passed away before I got the chance to tell him about my endeavors. I think about him every day, and, in times like this, where I'm sitting at school Monday through Sunday, absorbed in code and my future and all that could be, it's hard to deal with his death. Even more, it's hard to deal with anything else besides school and grief. My finances are rough right now. When I complete school, I will have to enter the job hunt, but I won't have quite enough $$$ to sustain me during that time. You see, I had been saving money, making money as an artist myself. But when his health turned, I used up a big chunk of my savings to fly home across the country last minute twice. I also missed out on work for a month. I'm already stressing out about December and how I'm going to make it through financially. And on top of that, I'm sick and tired of asking for money. So many of you have supported me already many times over, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you're reading this, there are two things you can do to help. Spread the word and donate.
