Just as a reminder the new TMNT show Teeny Mutant Ninja Turtles is NOT the reason Tales of the TMNT got canceled. It got canceled because of the Paramount/Skydance merger, resulting in a couple of Paramount projects to be shut down by Skydance.

I know it sucks that Tottmnt is gone and we won’t get more seasons, but we still have Mutant Mayhem 2 to look forward to in 2027! :D

And yet still being the most chaotic and most unhinged member of the group by both mutant and human standards.

A small thing I will always appreciate is when TMNT not only acknowledges Raph as the strongest of the turtles, but also reinforces it in subtle (and understandable) ways.

2012 Raph, for example, was often the turtle who did much of the “heavy lifting” even in the background.

When Donnie’s was struggling to open the doors to his lab, he called on Raph for assistance.

When Donnie also wanted to take a Kraang-droid back to study, it was Raph who helped him drag the robot back.

And, if the turtles ever need to bring in extra weapons to a fight, Raph is often the turtle that carries them.

It’s a nice, little way to acknowledge Raph’s strength (and his brother’s trust in said strength) without having to put him into a fight.

It is a bit sad to see how Tales of the Tmnt got cancelled so early because, while season 2 wraps up well, you can tell that the team had more things planned for Bishop and Goldfin as part of main story arcs.

Really, after seeing how many Donnies lean more towards the “tech whizz” or “engineer” I think 2012 Donnie had a unique gift for Chemistry and Biology.

There are many things i can praise Tales of the Tmnt for but one thing i like is desconstructing this idea that Donnie is an ultra genius that could building anything he puts his mind to, like he is very clever even a prodigy for his age but he is still pretty much limited to one area (robotics) and can't solve everything the rest of the turtles ask him to fix

I love how Tales of the Tmnt took an episode concept from Tmnt 2012 and made it a whole great character study arc about Raphael's anger issues and how his obsession with fighting can be so self destructive for him and others

Watched a good chunk of the new season with f Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and without spoiling too much, I gotta say that my baby boy Leo stole the whole damn show. He was adorable, hilarious, and his fight scenes were PEAK!!! All the others were great too. The animation is astounding. Why do billionaires fumble good shows??

Mikey: "Why would Dad be in the tent?"

Donnie: "Maybe Scumbug?"

Raph, without missing a fucking beat and probably smirking under the mask: "Maybe it's Dad and Scumbug"

And generally honest and live reaction of everyone was sending me into a shaking laughing fist in the middle of the night, LIKE, LOOK AT THEM:

Donnie wants to throw up so much he'd make himself if necessary, and Leo... oh poor Leo-

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the face of the eldest who's childhood had already been ruined by hearing his parents going at it and doesn't want the reminder of that traumatic experience

I'm saying this from experience guys. This is the face and he didn't need this reminder from Raph.
