I feel very strongly about Jason Grace getting his memories back and having to deal with everything that happened during the Battle of Mount Othrys on his own. Cause Hazel and Frank joined after the battle and the rest of his camp thinks he’s a traitor.

All the people that he watched die.

Having to stare his own death in the face as he fought a battle he was never meant to win.

All his prayers that went unanswered.

Not knowing if the injured were able to make it in time.

All the promises he couldn’t keep.

Oh what I would give to see Jason Grace in Olympus demanding to know why he should help the gods in their time of need when they weren’t anywhere for his?

Not gonna lie sometimes I write really long concept posts and I get to the point where I straight up have no idea what the hell I’m talking about anymore. We have strayed so far from the original idea and I’m just still talking like well guess I better wrap this up..somehow.

Concept:

On that though I do love the idea of Kevin and Riko being in a secret relationship that was as unhealthy and controlling as you’d expect to be. And then Kevin ends up in the Foxes with a broken hand along with a broken heart.

It’s there he starts to learn what it truly means to be loved and valued beyond his skills at Exy.

Though the truth of his and Riko’s relationship doesn’t come out until Kevin gets absolutely plastered at Edens for the first time. He’s sat there rambling about Riko coming to get him and what he’ll do to him when he does.

When Andrew questions him later Kevin is more concerned about the others knowing he’s in relationship (or was…he’s not sure anymore) with Riko than the details about the abuse he let out.

No one at the Nest knew…not even Jean.

To him the details don’t matter but it matters to Andrew it matters a lot.

Kevin never talks about it on his own accord Andrew grows to know him well enough to know if and when Kevin will answer him. He keeps a mental note about everything Kevin says on the subject.

“I can’t say no to Riko.”

It paints a horrifying picture and if Andrew stands that just bit closer to Kevin after such revelations and after every session with Bee, well that’s between them.

Kevin doesn’t really get what the fuss is about there’s not much he can do after swearing each and every player to secrecy. It’d ruin Riko’s reputation and Kevin’s as well if the world found out they were closer then they should be.

He gets used to Nicky’s annoying need to ruffle his hair and Andrew being able to stop the world around him by placing a hand on the back of his neck.

This is love.

It’s strange that it doesn’t hurt.

Then Neil comes along and with him so does Riko. Kevin is a nervous wreck, he can’t eat, he can’t sleep, Andrew is the only thing keeping him together. He’s drinking more until every dark shadow in the room looks like Riko.

Neil doesn’t find out until after the Kathy Ferdinand show. When Riko pins Kevin against the wall and Kevin practically goes limp against him. There’s a sweetness to his voice as he talks about how much he missed him but there’s venom behind every word.

Neil puts the pieces together in record time and practically pushes Riko off of Kevin as hard as he can. Kevin crumbles to his knees and Riko begins to attack Neil. It’s only than does Kevin get the will to fight back and gets elbowed right in the face for it.

Andrews smile has never looked so cruel when he surveys the sight.

Kevin falls apart the moment they’re alone and Andrew as always puts him back together. He gives Neil a chat earlier on the rooftop and it becomes an unspoken promise between the two of them to keep Kevin safe.

Feelings start to blossom and Kevin feels incredibly guilty about it because Riko would be pissed if he knew. But Andrew makes him feel safe and home starts to feel like watching old Exy tapes with Neil.

Court after hours feels like the only time he can truly breathe again and maybe it won’t last forever but Kevin wishes he could stay here.

With them.

Kevriko

I’m just saying had Kevin and Riko secretly been a thing can you imagine how fucking messy it would’ve been if Kevin just fucking came out on live TV?

“Oh I’ve never been skiing I’d like to try it some time though. Sorry for the confusion Riko was just too embarrassed to admit we broke up.”

Can you imagine the two most inseparable, borderline codependent (to the public at least) Exy players. The Kings of the sport disappear for months and appear on different teams not talking to each other until a talk show interview.

And then you find out they were secretly together the WHOLE time! Drama dare I say cinema. And suddenly there’s all this talk about Kevin having a broken hand and Riko lying about it 👀 hmmmm….

The fanfic writers would be having a field day.

And also you know Kevin who’s lived in fear for years that his sexuality this will ruin his reputation now being able to stand tall and reclaim that.

And in doing so finally stepping out of Riko’s shadow.

Headcanon: I like the idea of Riko hating Jeremy Knox but not because he goes against everything Riko believes Exy should be about.

But because Kevin idolises him so much.

There’s a poster of him on Kevin’s side of their dorm room and not even the threat of Riko’s wrath can quell Kevin’s incessant rambling and praise for the Trojans captain.

He’s jealous he’s so fucking jealous and everyone knows it except for Kevin who obviously sees Riko as above everyone else in a league of his own and can’t be compared to anyone.

And it’s that fact and Jeremy’s unfortunate notoriety and family status that keeps Riko from killing him.

So because of whatever the hell is wrong with me this time I haven’t really been able to engage in my usual hobbies.

My hands just hurt too much to try to knit or crochet or embroider. Unsurprisingly it’s been really upsetting and I may have had a bit of a breakdown last night over it.

But I’ve been thinking about how I’ve always been saying “fuck AI! Art is so fucking accessible anyone can do it” and have seen so many disabled artists past and present find ways to make art.

So surely there has to be a way I can.

Obviously there’s digital art but I’ve always liked the tangibility of physical art and I’ve been straining my eyes enough lately so I’ll give that a pass for now.

I tried to go about it differently and fell into the rabbit hole that is mixed media art. It looked so fun and I had a lil idea and so I’ve just been trying to make what would normally be a drawing but out of yarn.

Of this scene on a hill in either the night sky or a sunset I’m not sure yet.

This is what I’ve got so far.

And yeah a glue stick is probably not the best way to do this but it’s what I have on hand. I coloured the inside with a soft pastel cause it was easier than using a coloured pencil. I figured it’s yarn there’s gonna be gasps so may as well may it look a lil intentional.

I dunno I don’t need it to be some great masterpiece or whatever. I have an idea, I’m having fun my hands are very messy and yeah they hurt and I gotta take breaks but it’s not nearly as bad as when I tried to do the other shit.

So I think I’m onto something maybe I have no idea what I’m doing and I’m so fucking happy I can’t even put it into words.

I’m sorry but James Gunn essentially saying Wonder Woman being made out of clay is as as interchangeable as Batmans logo is fucking insane.

The Amazons are meant to be the reincarnations of women who died at the hands of men. Hippolyta was pregnant when she was killed and she yearned to have her daughter returned to her.

So she sculpted Diana out of clay and held her baby girl in her arms for the time ever.

She was born as a miracle out of her mother’s love and that tells you so much about the kind of person she is. That above everything else Diana is kind, that she kills as a last resort and cares so deeply about others and human life.

To say that about her origin when you’d never think to do that with the rest of the trinity’s. Superman is always sent over from space by his parents and people will riot if a Batman movie doesn’t open with Martha’s Wayne’s pearls flying everywhere.

Diana should never be a daughter of Zeus that’s my hot take I guess like why on earth would you reduce her story about a mother creating her child out of love and make it all about man?!

Concept:

I’m glad Kevin lived in canon and didn’t die like he does in half of the drafts for many reasons. And one of them is most definitely I don’t think I’d have survived having to watch Andrew grieve Kevin.

Just…Riko shooting Kevin instead of Neil which is heartbreaking enough. But then you have Andrew holding Kevin in his arms practically begging him to stay with him.

Even going so far as to use the word he hate because Andrew would do anything if it meant Kevin got back up. But it didn’t work when he was 7 and it won’t work now.

He has to sit and watch the light drain from Kevin’s eyes knowing that when Kevin needed him the most Andrew failed to protect him.

He broke his promise.

He told Kevin he’d never let Riko take him away and he’s bleeding out on the Raven’s court with a bullet in his chest all because Andrew wasn’t fast enough.

Security having to physically hold Andrew back to take Kevin away from him cause he just won’t let go. Andrew losing all of his usual composure, he’s screaming, he’s shouting and demanding that they give Kevin back to him.

The only person who can reach him is Aaron but just barely. Neil’s a wreck who’s trying to pick with a fight with Riko and the rest of the Foxes are right behind him.

And Wymack has to stand there watching Kevin get carted away and Andrew breaking down in his twins arms realising he’s lost two of his kids in one day.

Andrew would never emotionally recover and frankly neither would I.
